Samuel told me that Arkham Steven is not a vegetarian. He said, "Arkham Steven can't afford to be a vegetarian, he needs the protein to keep his strength up."

Third Person Omniscient.

After swinging back to his house to pick up his wallet, Steven took Phoebe to IHOP so she could eat a good dinner for once. Phoebe was just astonished at how he healed her dog with just one kiss.

He told her that he would explain everything to her, but first she needed some food. And then he spoils her by telling her that she could have whatever she wanted and he'll pay for it. She ordered a big plate of pancakes drenched in syrup with whip cream and strawberries on top. A lot of calories and sugar, but Phoebe is extremely thin so she needs this to fill her little belly.

Steven just ordered chicken and waffles, though waffles are quite blasphemous for the International House of Pancakes. Still, he got his meal and Phoebe got hers as well.

While they ate, Steven explains his origin story to her all the way up to this point. It was after midnight and they both stayed awake with the help of soft drinks and coffee. The sun was going to rise in an hour or two.

"So..." Phoebe wiped the whip cream and syrup off her mouth. "You're basically a superhero for an alien planet?"

Steven slightly cringed at that. "Superhero isn't what I would call myself."

"But you have super powers." Phoebe replied, licking the syrup and whip cream off her hand.

"But I don't have a secret identity." Steven took a bite from his waffle.

"Oh right, your friend, Obsidian does." Phoebe rubbed her sleepy eye, accidentally getting some of the sticky substance on it. "Anyway... So you've been using your talents to beat up alien rocks?"

"They're called gems." Steven corrected her. "And that's just an oversimplification, but yes, that's what I'm unfortunately forced to do."

"And Moonlight's your greatest enemy?" Phoebe asked, licking her hand before rubbing it on her sticky eye.

Steven nodded.

"Better than the Diamonds?"

He nodded again.

"Better than Spinel?"

He nods, picking up a piece of chicken to eat.

"Better than Squaridot?"

Steven rolled his eyes while biting the chicken.

Phoebe giggled at that. "I suppose she's a big deal then."

He almost choked on his food when she said that while he swallowed. "You think?"

"Well, you haven't talked about her much. You kind of skimmed over her." Phoebe counters, sipping on her Diet Pepsi.

"Moonlight... is a complicated gem to talk about." Steven stirs his Diet Pepsi with his straw.

"How come you haven't brought her to jail?" Phoebe asked, eating the little bits of pancake left on her plate.

"Moonlight is rich in wealth, she'll buy her way out of it. And that's if she is convicted with something. She's smart and intelligent enough to make sure she isn't connected to any sort of illegal activities. But I'm not going to try to bust her operation." Steven admits, taking another bite of his food.
