Sorry for the long delay, I've been busy with other things, as well as spending that time brainstorming the upcoming events in the story. And now I'm slowly getting back into writing, so hopefully things go well with the production process.

Third Person Omniscient.

"And then I always told him that he could move to another galaxy and if he did I would follow him like a dog." Rose chuckles after telling him the long story. "Of course, he didn't like that. He never did, heh..."

Steven softly smiled. "It was a nice story."

Rose looked at his neck, seeing the scars from Moonlight's teeth on it. It still pains her to know that she's the reason why he has them... and also how he got his back broken.

She even made him work to make her take his collar off; that does not make it easier to tell him, or even work up the courage to tell him. The longer she holds it from him, the harder it is to tell him.

After all, she was told to always tell the truth by her mentor. "Steven?"

"Yes?" Steven sat up and looked curious. "Something you want to tell me?"

Rose curled her legs, being very anxious. "It's... It's about Moonlight..."

She notices that he slightly tensed up from that. "What about her?"

She nervously twirls her hand in her petal-hand. "I... I may have had a role in... in her success..."

"Success?" He reiterates, not comprehending her vague and cryptic confession.

"I... I'm the one who gave her powers..." Rose admits, closing her eyes.

Even though she couldn't see it, she felt and heard something drop. Meekly opening one eye, she saw that Steven dropped a cup of water he was drinking. Now it's spilled on the floor.

"Her powers..." Steven comments. "You gave them to her...?"

"Y-Yes..." She continued, slowly opening the other eye. "Her height, her strength, her endurance. All of that... was from me... I'm sorry..."

Steven stood up from the couch, his hands slightly shaking.

"You did this?" He points toward his neck, his index finger close to the scars. "You did this?"

"N-Not directly..." She softly replied.

"All of the people she killed over the years... it's because of you..." Said Steven in a low voice. "And it's also because of you that she broke my back..."

"I know... I know I kept this from you... a-and that was wrong of me." Rose stutters, feeling utterly ashamed.

Steven's fists clenched. "I know it's only been a month since we got acquainted, but I thought I had made it clear that I do not like liars..."

"I-I know, I was nervous of telling you... would you prefer I didn't tell you at all?" Rose croaks, her twirling wand stopped.

"I would have preferred if you told me right after I passed your first or second test." Steven retorted, his low voice striking her heart.

"I'm... I'm sorry..." Rose mumbled, her lips quivering since she has a strong feeling that he's going to yell at her.

"Sorry doesn't help my back, or those people who perished because of you." Steven retorted with a growl. "Why would you even do it in the first place?"
