I'm so glad you guys liked my little creepy/horror segments in the last chapter, I thought I would be bad at them.

I don't know if I should continue with it, since Steven Universe isn't a horror/creepy show, but there are some scary concepts on it.

I'll try using something more... cryptic in this one, and see how it plays out. Hopefully it isn't a step-down from the last chapter.

Third Person Omniscient.

The following morning, White Diamond still patiently waited for Steven to wake up. While she watched him, she noticed that he had showered, shaved and brushed his teeth - valuing his hygiene again. She grins, he's taking care of himself... halfway at least.

He still isn't eating much, but he's currently getting his sleep and hygiene routine back. It may not be much, but it's still an improvement. She absolutely made sure that no rebels were creeping nearby, she would hurt them badly if she did find any.

Steven slowly stirred and pushed himself off of his bed, the red coloring in his eyes being dimmed out.

"Good morning." White Diamond greets with a soft smile. "Did you sleep well?"

"I slept fine..." Steven rubbed his eyes.

"Your eyes are returning to normal... slowly, at least." White Diamond inspects his face. "It doesn't quite fix your anorexia, though."

"I'm not anorexic..." Steven replied.

"Yet you act like it." White Diamond replied.

Steven stretched, earning some pops in his back and he groaned as each one seemed to be more satisfying than the previous one.

"I bet that felt good, didn't it?" White Diamond inquired.

He didn't answer that, but she knew that his joints enjoyed the pops. Steven was going to walk out of his room, but White Diamond followed him so he didn't get away from her.

"Where are you going?"

"Patrol..." Steven answered as he tied his shoes and walked to the warp pad.

"But you haven't gone out on patrol for ages." White Diamond pointed out. "What changed your mind?"

"Arkham City..." He ground as he marched to the warp pad to leave the house.

Homeworld:

Steven stood on top of a building in the frosty environment, not caring that the snow was making his body shiver. He opens up his Cryptographic Sequencer to see if he could listen in on the radio waves from within the walls of Arkham City, hoping that he could get a glimpse of the prison's atmosphere without setting foot in it. Unfortunately, the guards have a closed and secured channel.

But he did find something interesting on the Cryptographic Sequencer. The text revealed:

ꡠꡢ-ꡠ-ꡦ-ꡨ-ꡢ-ꡥ-ꡠꡡ-ꡠꡤ-ꡡꡢ-ꡤ-ꡠꡧ

Steven knew the language, it's Gem Glyph. His brain translated the text into:

13-1-7-9-3-6-12-15-23-5-18

And upon seeing this set of numbers, Steven could tell this is a code for something. He tried deciphering the code with the Number Substitution Cypher. The text was finally translated into:
