Third Person Omniscient.
Moonlight wails, holding her jaw and tears swelling in her eyes to mildly blind her. Steven actually felt guilty for this, which was very rare.
He's done a lot worse to other gems, but not Moonlight. It feels wrong to feel guilty about her, especially after what she's done to him. Maybe it's because of her cries of agony.
He never, ever heard this much shrill in a gem's voice - and he's beaten a LOT of gems in his time of being Homeworld's hero. Normally he breaks an arm or leg, sometimes everything in a gem's form - minus the gemstone - but he never went out of his way to directly hurt someone as bad as he did for Moonlight.
Everything he did to everyone else was either in an act of self-defense or anger, not premeditated or malicious intent. It was payback for breaking his back, and to make sure she doesn't bite him again.
But the look of horror on her pale face - mixed with the subtle burn mark on her cheek from the Explosive Gel - made him feel remorse from it.
After all, dental agony is one of the worst forms of pain that anyone could ever experience since it's the most difficult to treat adequately. And since Homeworld has no dental care whatsoever, Moonlight is in immense amounts of unimaginable pain with no end.
Steven puts her out of her misery by striking her neck just right to incapacitate her. At least she won't feel the pain while she's unconscious, but that won't fix her teeth. She'll most definitely feel the pain again when she wakes up.
Steven gets down on one knee and inspects her mouth with Detective Mode.
He noticed that some of her teeth were struggling to stay onto her gums, and the rest of it was broken off. Where did they go, you may ask? She involuntarily swallowed her teeth when Steven punched them out, he can see them in her belly - some stuck in her esophagus.
Turning Detective Mode off, he propped her back against a nearby wall and opened her mouth to see the damage more closely. He could see the holes in her gums where her teeth are supposed to be, and they would be bleeding if she were a human.
He couldn't leave her like this, mostly because the thought of leaving her in permanent pain like this felt wrong. But how could he fix it?
Well, there is one way to do it. However there's no guarantee that it'll work. Worst case scenario, he would have done it for nothing, and only he would know about it.
He sighed, his golden heart making him do this, closing his eyes and leaning closer. His lips slowly connected with her, and he just remained there.
He wasn't going to do anything else, he didn't want to make it too personal. Plus his inexperience would make it more awkward and weird for him, even if she was unconscious. He certainly hope she doesn't wake up in the middle of this.
Now that would be embarrassing.
He felt her teeth growing back, and he pushed himself off of her. It worked, and now he doesn't have to feel guilty... at least, not as much as he did earlier. But that does mean she would know about their kiss.
Moonlight's smart enough to know that he is the only one who could heal others with tears and spit. This is probably more awkward than when he saved her life during their fall from the Royal Hotel. Back then he saved her with some dignity, even though they ended up sharing a bed together at the end.
