Jess had her feet on Hopper's desk and her arms folded across her chest, she blew away a strand of her that had slowly crept its way in front of her eyes. Hopper shook his head at the young teen, he gestured for her to take her feet away and she did but rolling her eyes in the process. ''Seriously, kid again? I thought we were done with this,'' Hopper sighed, rubbing his temples in confusion and pure anger.
''Yeah I know I'm sorry but I suddenly had a realisation, now that things are finally back to you know normal...it just occurred to me that I really serve no purpose in life and if I'm being completely honest with myself I don't even have the slightest idea on what I want to do when I'm out of school. I'm just useless, a nobody,'' Jess explained to the chief, hurt and sorrow in her eyes.
''Hey, hey that's not true you have a loving brother and mum who both love you so, so much and you have great friends who all care very deeply about you. Listen to me, Jess you don't have to know just yet what you want to be later in life, you have all the time in the world, you just have to find things that you're interested in and then take your pick, don't like it you can try again. Not everyone knows what they want to be when they're older but all you must focus on now is your grades, your amazing friends and family and yourself because that's all that matters,'' Hopper explained.
Jess sighed, she took a big deep breath and just nodded. She could see where Hopper was coming from but she just didn't see it like that through her eyes, all Jess could see through her eyes was a useless nobody who did reckless things for attention and knowing that she knew she would never have any interest in attending college. ''I guess you're right, Hopper,'' Jess sighed.
Hopper smiled at the young teen. ''Now, let's get you home,'' he exclaimed. Jess nodded and followed Hopper out of his office, the two got into Hopper's car and he drove down the road to the Henderson household. As soon as they arrived, Jess hopped out and wandered to the front door, she gave Hopper a wave and he waved back before driving back down to the station.
When she entered her house however she noticed Dustin was cursing and yelling under his breath, she didn't care about that but she did care when the young curly haired boy rushed up the stairs to her room. ''Dustin, what the hell? Why are you rummaging through my things? Hey, that's my money box what the actual shit?'' she shouted.
''I need the cash, I haven't got enough. I'm heading out to the arcade with my friends tonight,'' Dustin replied, not really answering his older sister's main question.
''Whatever but you owe me,'' Jess sighed, watching Dustin run back down the stairs and grab his bike, pedalling off. ''Asshole,'' she shouted after him but he was now too far away for him to hear her.
Jess rolled her eyes and started heading back inside the house but her mum guarded the doorway, she had her arms folded across her chest and Mews walking around her legs. ''Jess, care to tell me what happened at the station today? You were arrested again? I thought you had grown out of that habit two years ago now. What happened to you Jessica? You used to be such a good little girl,'' Claudia explained.
