''What is that?'' Erica asked.

''There's something in there,'' Mike replied.

''Keep her talking, keep her awake, okay?'' Jonathan exclaimed, running off to get a couple of things.

''Jesus Christ!'' Dustin shouted.

''Hey, hey, hey El stay awake okay? Let's get her on the side, get her on the side,'' Mike panicked.

''Easy, easy, easy, easy, easy,'' Steve exclaimed as he helped Mike and Jess get her onto the side.

''It's uh...you know t's not actually that bad. There was a...The goalie on my soccer team, Beth Wildfire, this other girl slid into her leg and the bone came out of her knee, six inches or something, it was insane,'' Robin tried her best to help.

''Robin?'' Steve said.

''Yeah?'' Robin replied.

''You're not helping,'' Jess said.

''I'm sorry,'' Robin said softly like she had upset someone by saying that.

Jonathan came back with a knife, a pair of gloves and a wooden spoon. ''Okay El, this is gonna hurt like hell, okay?'' he exclaimed.

El was crying and groaning in pain. ''Okay,'' she nodded.

''You're gonna wanna bite down on this,'' Jonathan said as he handed the wooden spoon to Jess and she placed it in between Ell's teeth. She had a strong grip on Ell's hand.

Jonathan took a deep breath before being told by Mike to do it, he pressed the knife to Ell's leg and cut into it. El screamed in pain as Jess looked away as El squeezed her hand.

''I can do it, I can do it, I can do it,'' El screamed out when Jonathan was hurting her and he stopped what he was doing when Nancy pushed him back.

El placed her hand over her leg and she screamed as she tried to push the bit of mind flayer out of her leg, the louder she screamed the more Jess had to cover her ears until glass shattered to the floor and all around the mall the lights were flickering. When El had gotten the bit of the mind flayer out of her leg it started running across the floor but a large booted foot squashed it. Jess beamed when she saw it was Hopper, Joyce and a man she had never seen before.

Jess rushed into Hopper's arms to give him a massive hug, he returned it. ''I missed you, Hop,'' Jess said.

''Missed you too, kid...but would you in the name of Jesus tell me what the hell is going on here?'' Hopper exclaimed.

The party started to explain everything that had been going on with the mind flayer and the Russians. This was all overwhelming for Jess, more trauma more upside down bullshit, when will it end?

''Okay, so, just to be clear, this... this big fleshy spider thing that hurt El, it's some kind of gigantic... weapon?'' Steve questioned.

''Yes,'' Nancy replied.

''But instead of, like, screws and metal the mind flayer made its weapon...with melted people?'' Steve questioned again.

''Exactly,'' Nancy said.

''Right yeah...okay just making sure.'' Steve's eyes danced around the mall to see his girlfriend sitting with Robin, she had her knees pulled up to her chest and her arms wrapped around them. ''You okay Jessie bear?'' he asked her, engulfing her into a massive hug.

''Yeah...actually I don't know...I mean I....like what if we don't make it out this time, I have no idea what I'd do without you in my life...I mean I....just I....I love you Steve....this may sound like our last words but I'm worried...scratch that....fuck that I'm freaking terrified,'' Jess stammered as tears started to fall from her eyes.
