The little group dropped down, Steve first and then Jess. ''Holy shit,'' Steve exclaimed.
Mike dropped down along with the rest of the kids. ''I'm pretty sure it's this way,'' Mike commented, looking down at the map that he had.
''You're pretty sure or you're certain?'' Dustin questioned him.
''I'm one hundred percent sure. Just follow me and you'll know,'' Mike replied back, his voice louder than he intended it to be.
''Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hey, hey, hey, I don't think so,'' Steve shouted, snatching the map from him.
''What?''
''Any of you little shits die down here Jess and I are getting the blame. Got it, dipshit?'' Steve shouted. ''From here on out we're leading the way, come on, let's go.''
Steve started walking with Jess, she leaned over his shoulder looking at the map. Steve just so happened to have it upside down. ''Uh, Steve you have the map upside down,'' Jess told him. Steve realised and turned it the right way up.
The group walked through the tunnels, Steve and Jess leading the way with everyone else following behind them, looking around nervously behind them wondering where the hell they were. Dustin had trailed behind a little bit, he looked at something as he pulled his bandana down. Dust was blown into his face. ''Shit,'' he screamed out.
Jess, Steve and the rest of the gang rushed to his aid. ''Help, help, help,'' Dustin screamed.
''Dustin, are you okay? Dustin, Dustin,'' Jess shouted, kneeling down cupping his cheeks examining for injuries.
''What happened?'' Steve asked, beginning to panic but was prepared to go full on babysitter protective mode.
''It's in my mouth, some got in my mouth, shit!'' Dustin screamed, coughing as he suddenly looked up. ''I'm okay.''
Jess whacked him across the head. ''You little shit, don't scare me like that again.''
''Very funny man,'' Steve shook his head.
''Jesus, what an idiot,'' Max exclaimed.
The group continued walking, Jess trailed behind with Dustin. ''Don't do that to me again, okay?'' Jess looked at his little brother.
''Guess I was just being overdramatic, I won't do that again. Sorry, I scared you, Jess,'' Dustin explained.
''Good,'' Jess smiled, ruffling his cap with the curly brown hair.
The group stopped at the main part of the tunnels, the hub where the soldiers were attacked because of the bit of the mind flayer that was connected to Will. ''All right Wheeler, looks like we found your hub,'' Steve exclaimed.
''Drench it,'' Mike implied.
Jess grabbed her can of gasoline and began drenching the whole place in it. ''I can now add arson to my felony crime list,'' Jess pointed out as Steve just chuckled.
''You have a felony crime list?'' Dustin questioned, raising an eyebrow at his sister.
''Of course, who doesn't?'' Jess looked at the rest of the party that was now staring up at her, confused. ''Jesus, it's a joke calm down.''
The group rolled their eyes and Steve just chuckled, knowing she probably did have a felony crime list due to how reckless the two used to be with doing illegal things.
''All right, you ready?'' Steve asked, looking down at the kids and then at Jess.
Everyone beside him nodded. ''Light her up, Stevie boy,'' Jess insisted.
''I am in such deep shit,'' Steve sighed, throwing his lighter at the ground, lighting the whole place up in flames. The bright orange flames illuminated the place, nearly blinding Jess she shielded her eyes from the brightness.
There was the loud sudden shrieking and growling of the Demo-dogs. ''Go! Go! Go!'' Steve shouted, gesturing for everyone to move. The group started running back to the hole that they had come down in, suddenly Mike was pulled down to the floor, his foot getting caught in one of the vines.
''Help! Help! Help! Help!'' he called out.
Jess and Steve rushed to his aid, whacking and hitting at the vine that was wrapped around Mike's foot, they had gotten him free when one all of a sudden wrapped around Jess, pulling her down. ''Jess,'' Steve screamed out. Jess screamed and screamed as Steve hit his bat repeatedly at the vine wrapped around his girlfriend, the vine finally wriggled itself away from Jess's foot. Steve placed his hand out, lending a hand out to Jess, she grabbed it and Steve pulled her up, they were pressed up against each other as they continued walking down towards the hole. Suddenly Dart growled around them.
''Dart,'' Dustin exclaimed.
Everyone started to question him as he walked up towards his old pet. ''Shh, stop,'' Dustin raised his hand up for everyone to stop talking.
''Dustin, get back,'' Jess shouted, attempting to run up to her little brother but Steve pulled her back.
''Trust me, please,'' Dustin said.
He turned to Dart. ''Hey, it's me, it's me, it's your friend, it's Dustin. It's Dustin, all right?'' he tried to reassure the young Demogorgon. ''You remember me? Will you let us pass?''
Dart just growled and snarled at the younger Henderson. ''Okay, okay, I'm sorry, I'm sorry about the storm cellar. That was a pretty douche-y thing to do, you hungry? Yeah?'' Dustin pulled his backpack off of his shoulders and unzipped it pulling out a bar of Nougat. ''I've got your favourite. See? Nougat.'' Dustin opened up the little bar and started breaking pieces off and placing them on the floor for Dart. ''Look at that, yummy. Here all right? Eat it up, buddy come on, come on.'' Dart started eating the food that Dustin had gave him, Jess pulled him away and continued down the tunnels. ''Goodbye, buddy!'' Dustin exclaimed, wiping a small tear that had trickled down from his eye.
As they all reached the hole there was loud roaring and growling coming from the distance. Steve and Jess helped the kids to get back up out of the hole, the Demo-dogs paced towards Steve and Jess; Jess pressed herself up against Steve's chest and he held her close. ''I love you,'' he whispered to her. Jess just smiled and pressed her lips up against his, the last kiss of their lives before being swallowed up by wherever they were, they braced themselves for death, still holding each other tightly but to their curiosity the Demo-dogs just paced right past them.
''Eleven,'' Dustin realised.
Jess and Steve took in a few deep breaths before heading back up out of the hole, Steve of course helped his girlfriend up while the kids grabbed her hand and pulled her up. Jess knelt down on the ground, trying to catch her breath and held out her hand for Steve to grasp to help him out. The two hugged. ''Are you okay?'' Steve asked his girlfriend, rubbing at her arms reassuringly. Jess nodded and Steve engulfed her in another warm embrace, thanking the lord that the girl of his dreams was once again safe and sound and out of any severe danger.
