The next day, Jess smiled as she snapped pictures of her little brother in his Ghostbusters outfit, Dustin held up the pretend proton pack giving a toothy smile as she snapped more pictures. ''Okay, Dusty you're gonna be late,'' she exclaimed laughing.

As Dustin headed out of the house to hop onto his bike. ''Did I tell you there's a new girl at school?'' Dustin asked.

''No, you didn't. Is she cute?'' Jess teased, playfully nudging her little brother in the arm.

''Oh, shut up,'' Dustin rolled her eyes as his sister just laughed and he pedalled down the path to school. Jess made her own way down to school; when she entered Hawkins high she walked up to her locker and did her combination, she started digging through her locker for her books when all of a sudden she heard a voice behind her she thought it might have been Steve but when she turned around it clearly wasn't Steve but that blonde haired dude she had seen yesterday.

''Hey, beautiful, haven't seen you here before,'' the blonde boy flirted.

Jess rolled her eyes, everything he was wearing was practically denim except for his thick black boots of course, and she then noticed how blue his eyes were. ''Right back at you,'' Jess said sarcastically, not wanting anything to do with this unknown blonde stranger. He looked like nothing but trouble and Jess wasn't into bad boys, it wasn't her cup of tea.

''I'm Billy and might I ask what your name is?'' the boy named Billy exclaimed.

''Jess,'' Jess replied, rolling her eyes.

''If you keep rolling your eyes they'll get stuck like that, beautiful,'' Billy laughed.

Jess didn't say anything and slammed her locker door shut, Billy practically following behind her. ''I assume you're going to Tina's party, do you want to be my date?''

''No, I'm not going and no thanks,'' Jess replied.

''Suit yourself but I hope to at least see you there, beautiful,'' Billy flirted, he gave her a little wink before turning away and leaving.

''Asshole,'' she muttered under her breath before heading into class.

The rest of the day seemed to drag on, and before she knew it the day was over and she started making her way back home. As she headed down the path her thoughts circled her brain, thinking if it was a good idea to head to Tina's party or not, she sighed and finally decided to just stop procrastinating and go to the stupid party at least she knew Steve and Nancy would be going. When she entered her house, her mum was helping Dustin with his trick-or-treating bag while she was gone Dustin made the time to tell his sister about something. ''Hey, Jess you know that girl I told you about?'' Dustin asked.

''Yeah, what about her? You ask her out?'' Jess joked.

''Jess, this is serious,'' Dustin voice turned serious.
