Chapter 17

''Eleven,'' Mike exclaimed, running to hug his girl.

''Mike,'' Eleven gasped, returning his hug.

''I never gave up on you, I called you for...''

''353 days. I heard.''

''Why didn't you tell me you were there? That you were okay?'' Mike questioned.

''Because I wouldn't let her,'' Hopper perked up.

''The hell is this? Where have you been?'' Hopper asked, angered by the young girl but pulled her into a small hug nonetheless.

''Where have you been?'' Eleven snapped back, returning the hug.

Mike glared at Hopper and started to get angry with him, shoving and yelling at him before Hopper pulled him into a room to talk about the situation.

Eleven walked over towards her friends, Dustin and Lucas pulling her in for a hug. ''We missed you,'' Lucas smiled.

''I missed you too, we talked about you pretty much every day,'' Dustin smiled.

Eleven put her fingers to Dustin's mouth. ''Teeth,'' she beamed.

''What?''

''You have teeth,'' she repeated.

''Oh, you like these pearls?'' Dustin made a weird purring noise which frightened the younger girl.

Eleven then made her way to Jess, who just pulled her in for a massive hug, lifting her up off the ground and spinning her around. ''I missed you, El,'' Jess exclaimed.

''I missed you too, Jess, I guess I'm looking more badass or the word I learnt bitchin,'' El smiled.

''Bitchin, yeah you're bitchin and don't let anybody tell you otherwise.''

Jess then looked up at Steve. ''El, this is Steve, he's helped a lot,'' she introduced.

''Friend?'' was all El said.

''Well I guess you could say that but he's more like my boyfriend,'' Jess replied. Steve's eyes widened at this, him being called Jess's boyfriend pleased him more than anything in the world.

''Boyfriend?'' El questioned, having not heard the term before either.

''Well I guess it's like with you and Mike,'' Jess tried to explain.

El just nodded. ''Good person?'' she questioned.

Jess looked up at her boyfriend and gave him a smirk, she then turned her gaze back to the little girl. ''Yeah, he's all right, he's got a few wires loose but other than that he's okay,'' Jess teased.

''Hey,'' Steve exclaimed, pouting at his girlfriend.

Eleven just smiled, knowing the older girl was only joking. ''Hurt her and I'll pound your head into the wall,'' El exclaimed protectively.

Jess just laughed and Steve nodded, not wanting to admit he was afraid of this girl already. ''Jesus, she seems scary,'' Steve whispered to his girlfriend.

''She's not that scary once you get to know her,'' Jess whispered back.

''Well if you like her I like her,'' Steve exclaimed.

Eleven was stopped by the red head, Max stuck her hand out, introducing herself but El just walked straight past her not even bothering to introduce herself back. She hugged Joyce and wanted to see Will before being informed about everything.

''It's not like it was before. It's grown,'' Hopper exclaimed.

''A lot. And, I mean, that's considering we can get in there. The place is crawling with those dogs,'' Mike implied.
