The next morning there was a loud knock at Jess's door, Jess didn't wake up but she gave a groggy groan. ''Go away, I'm trying to sleep.''

The door bust open and it was Dustin up and about all ready, he clapped his hands in front of the two sleeping teenagers. ''Come on you two, get the hell up,'' Dustin shouted.

Jess slowly started to open her green eyes, she rubbed the tired sleep from them and sat up gently to see Steve had done the exact same thing, realising that the two had slept in their clothes except Jess had taken off her jean jacket they decided to just keep their clothes on however Jess wanted to just take a quick shower so she rushed down to the bathroom and flicked up the shower tap and began washing herself. Steve however looked around Jess's room, he wasn't snooping but he noticed a small can of hairspray on the dresser, he smiled and took it and began spraying down his hair. It wasn't his usual organic one he was used to but it would do. When Jess had come out of the shower and headed back to her room, she told Steve to look away while she got dressed, pulling on the same set of clothes from yesterday, red shirt, jeans and converse. ''All right Stevie boy, you can turn around,'' Jess exclaimed. Steve turned around and eyed his first crush, she looked absolutely beautiful with her wet hair that she started to dry with her hairdryer. ''Steve?'' Jess asked.

''Yeah, Jessie bear what's up?'' he asked her.

''I think my nailed bat is under my bed, could you get it for me?''

Steve nodded and he began rummaging under Jess's bed, he felt something hard and sharp brush against his fingers and that's when he pulled out the bat, sliding it across the floor and handing it to Jess who had just finished drying her hair and was now brushing it. ''Here you go,'' he exclaimed.

''Thank you,'' Jess smiled, taking it from his hands. Jess placed her brush down and walked over to the edge of the bed, picking up her jean jacket and placing it on.

''Do you really need that?'' Steve raised an eyebrow at her.

''Well it's cold, I need something to cover my arms,'' Jess replied, slapping Steve's arm playfully.

''Is that the reason or is it just the aesthetic of it?'' he teased.

Jess rolled her eyes. ''Okay, okay you caught me.''

The two teenagers headed out the door to meet Dustin. After getting their meat for Dustin's pet baby Demogorgon that Dustin had informed them he named Dart. Steve parked his car in the woods near some railway tracks, him and Jess started unloading the boot while Dustin seemed to be finally getting through to someone through his headset and walkie. ''Well, well, well look who it is,'' Dustin sighed, putting his hands on his hips.

''Sorry, man my stupid sister turned it off,'' the voice of Lucas replied.

''Well, while you were having sister problems, Dart grew again, he escaped and I'm pretty sure he's a baby Demogorgon,'' Dustin explained.

''Wait what?'' Lucas questioned, so confused as to what Dustin had just told him.

''I'll explain later but for now just meet me, Jess and Steve at the old junkyard.''

''Wait Steve?'' Lucas was now really confused.

''And bring your binoculars and wrist rocket,'' Dustin added.

''Steve Harrington?'' Lucas raised an eyebrow hearing Steve's name.

''Just be there stat, over and out,'' Dustin exclaimed, now shutting off the walkie and his headset.

Jess and Steve had gotten everything out of the boot, the trio now had buckets full of cow meat and were dropping them on the ground. Steve and Dustin were walking a bit ahead of Jess who was trailing behind them. ''All right, so let me get this straight you kept something you knew was dangerous in order to impress some girl who...who you just met?'' Steve questioned, trying to get a point across.
