The group were now in the car on their way to give Eddie the food delivery. Jess and Steve were seated in the back of the car sharing a cylinder packet of Pringles and Robin rambled on per usual.
''Not to be a wimp but can I sit in the car? 'Cause this is gonna totally and royally suck,'' Robin exclaimed.
''It'll be fine,'' Nancy reassured her.
''I can't stand to see those dull eyes of Eddie's break again. I really, really can't.''
''At least he can drink himself into feeling better,'' Steve exclaimed, holding up the six pack of beer that Eddie had requested.
''Yeah, beer always makes you feel better I presume, it doesn't taste all that great though,'' Jess said.
''Why don't we give it a trial? Hey, Eddie uh, good news first this time. We got you some Dustin-approved junk food and that six-pack you requested. Oh yeah, and we found Vecna. Bad news is that he's in that other, darker, much scarier dimension and the gate's closed so we have no way of getting to him. He's entirely shut off to us so basically you're screwed. And, no, I know you were already screwed but now you're doubly, triply screwed,'' Robin rambled on.
''Wait, maybe don't put it like that,'' Nancy said.
''We're one step closer to finding Vecna,'' Robin continued.
''That's what we say, that's what's important.''
''See, Robin? Positive spin can make all the difference,'' Steve shrugged, handing a Pringle to his girlfriend.
''Uh huh,'' Robin exclaimed.
The further the group drove down the road, they could make out cop cars and it could only mean two things. One, there was another murder and two, Eddie was once again in grave danger. ''Oh, shit,'' Nancy sighed. The group now stood behind a van as they watched the scene unfold, the cops were going on about how Eddie was the culprit behind these murders.
''This is not good, this is really not good,'' Steve shook his head.
''Not good at all,'' Jess sighed.
Suddenly Dustin's walkie went off, it was Eddie's voice echoing through it. ''Dustin, can you hear me? Jess?''
''Eddie, holy shit. Are you okay?'' Dustin asked on the walkie.
''Nah, man I'm pretty goddamn far from okay,'' Eddie replied.
''Where is he?'' Steve asked.
''Where are you?'' Dustin asked his friend.
''Skull Rock, do you know it?'' Eddie questioned.
''Uh yeah, that's near Cornwallis and...'' Dustin was cut off by Steve.
''Garrett, yeah. I know where that is,'' Steve said, taking a hold of Jess's hand and started their walk through the woods to find Skull Rock.
Steve had a good sense of direction and knew where Skull Rock was due to having brought Jess down here on dates, they hard carved their names on the rock and had quite a few make out sessions under it. ''Dude, I'm telling you, you're taking us the wrong way,'' Steve rolled his eyes at Dustin.
''It's north. I'm positive, I checked the map,'' Dustin implied.
''You do realise that Skull Rock is a super popular make out spot?'' Steve asked.
''Yeah, so?''
''Yeah, well it wasn't popular until your sister and I made it popular,'' Steve implied.
''Eww, gross Steve,'' Dustin rolled his eyes.
''He's 15, does he really need to know that we spend quality making out time under a rock?'' Jess exclaimed, giving her boyfriend a look.
