Her life however takes a turn for the worst when her little brother's best friend Wil...

The next morning Jess woke up bright and early for school per usual, the bright sun streaming through the windows and she got herself ready, pulling on her shirt, navy blue jeans and of course laced up the converse she had pulled onto her feet. She picked up her hairbrush and brushed her wavy locks, she ran her fingers through it afterwards to make sure there was no knots and then did her usual makeup, blush and mascara. Jess headed downstairs to see that once again she was the only one still in the house since Dustin had left and her mum too, she grabbed the small toast square that covered the small white plate as usual and headed down to the morgue, she wanted to help out Jonathan, the two weren't friends but after what Steve did she just felt sorry for the young teen. When she arrived, he looked distraught, his face was pale and he looked as if he was about to throw up. ''You okay?'' she asked, placing her hand on his shoulder.
''I...Wil's dead body, Jess...I-I just saw it,'' Jonathan stuttered.
''It's going to be okay I promise, I'm here, I'm here'' Jess tried her best to comfort him.
Suddenly Joyce came out of the room, she had a huge frown plastered upon her face. ''I don't know what you think that thing is in there but that is not my son,'' she screamed.
The coroner's were screaming after her. ''Mam, mam!''
Joyce just raised her hands up in defeat and walked out the door, pushing it open angrily as Jonathan sighed and walked after her. Jess stayed behind to let Jonathan have some alone time with his mum.
Later that day, Jess met up with Jonathan at the funeral home. Nancy had approached them too, she was a bit concerned as to why her best friend was hanging out with Jonathan and not her after what he did but she didn't care right now since she had bigger problems. ''Hey,'' Nancy said softly, a bit cautious to be talking to him.
''Hey,'' Jonathan said.
''Hey Nance, you okay?'' Jess asked, placing her hand on her best friend's shoulder.
''Yeah...yeah, I'm okay,'' she replied. Nancy then faced Jonathan. ''Your mum, um...she said you'd be here.''
Jonathan looked up at the young teen in front of him. ''I just...can we talk?'' Nancy then said, she reached into her bag and pulled out the ripped up piece of paper that she had now stuck back together and handed it to Jonathan. Jess leaned in.
''It looks like it could be some kind of perspective distortion but I wasn't using the wide angle, I don't know it's weird,'' Jonathan said looking at the picture that Nancy had handed to him. There was a black figure in it, as if something had been hiding there.
''And you're sure you didn't see anything else out there?'' Nancy asked.
''No... And she was there one second and then, um...gone. I figured she bolted,'' Jonathan replied.
''The cops think that she ran away but they don't know Barb and I went back to Steve's...and I thought I...saw something. Some...weird man or...I don't know what it was. I'm sorry I... I shouldn't have come here today. I'm...I'm so sorry,'' Nancy stuttered.
