Raquelia's POV

Cyrus arrived with his men. The Lycan roared his name and shifted to his form, a form more befitting for Cyrus. Cyrus's wolf was a gray wolf with a white streak on its back and a white tail. He had the strength and attributes of a lycan, but he was in the form of a wolf. I wondered what Selene was thinking when she created him. The loud and painful cry of Eirwen drew my attention back to the mother-and-daughter duel. The girl dropped motionlessly to the ground, her body immediately turning into ice dust.

Icy turned and looked around, and seeing the battle around her, she hissed venomously and turned to the old man who was safe inside the ice shield. Crystal, mother of Arabel and the second shield, arrived just in time. Her time had come, it was her time to die in place of Arabel, so the child inside her would be safe. A life for a life, and a punishment for the mistake of leaving Arabel behind. If Crystal had taken her along, Arabel would have been safer and I wouldn't have had to suffer either. Call it my vengeful force doing my bidding.

Crystal appeared in the form of ice and stopped in front of the shield, blocking Icy. Icy smiled with satisfaction as she saw her sister. "I knew you would come out. You're too weak-hearted to hide when your precious little daughter's life is threatened by me," Icy scorned.

"Still a psycho, huh, sister?" Crystal asked sardonically, cocking her hips. One look at her and you will see Arabel. They were identical in physique and personality. The only difference between them was that Arabel was selfless, but Crystal was not. But hey, there's nothing a little push from me can't do. "I won't blame you, your head doesn't have any ice screws left."

"You are just as bitchy as your daughter. Rude and arrogant."

"You forgot to mention sexier and gorgeous," Crystal said cheekily, swinging her blue hair. Icy frowned deeply, boiling with anger. The other thing her sisters had that she didn't was beauty and extreme cheekiness. "You still wear spikes? They are so last season but of course, you ARE last season. This is part of the reason why you were never the prettier one. I mean, look at your skin! Oh wait, you don't have a skin, just an ugly old, frozen block of ice." Crystal taunted.

Jena snickered beside me. "She's definitely Arabel's mother, I love her,"

"You love everyone with bad-mouth," I said as a matter-of-fact. That after all was the reason she befriended Arabel.

"I won't call it to bad-mouth, I'll call it a savage gift," she murmured sheepishly.

"I will make you eat back those words, Crystal. You know you can't defeat me." Icy said, drawing our attention back to them. She wore a smirk on her face as the vampire snuck behind Crystal.

Crystal smiled, well aware of who was coming behind her. She placed her hand on her heart. "I know I can't fight you and that's why I didn't come here to fight. I came here to return the stone to its rightful owner. Too bad I wouldn't be there to watch you die." Still cheeky to the end. After flashing her sister the brightest smile I've ever seen on anyone, she dug her hand into her chest and ripped out her heart. I flicked my fingers, flicking the stone out of her hand and sending it to Arabel. The stone smashed a hole in the ice shield and caused an aggressive cold energy to explode as it made contact with Arabel's heart.

"No!!!" Icy screamed. The sharp pain in my stomach cut off my connection as my body slumped against Jena. A scream I'd only experienced once shot through me, causing me to scream out with agony. Jena held me tightly and screamed for Arthur. I didn't need to look to know, I could feel it. I'd lost my baby.
