Frost's POV

I sat at the waterfall behind the school barrier, staring at the water. I sighed heavily, I missed her, Wynter. She would always beat me up and healed my slow-healing wounds while crying and cursing herself for hurting me. She had anger issues like both our parents and was cold-hearted on top of that, but she always had a soft spot for me. She was always fast to harm me and quick to cry and beg for forgiveness. If she was here with me, she would have stopped me from hurting Raf and would have gone around threatening girls to stay away from me because I am hers. She would call me an animal, it was always something like this:

"You annoying animal! Why did you let me hurt you so badly? Aren't you just useless? I am so sorry, Frost, I'm such an idiot." I'll give anything to see her again.

"Go away, Rafaelia," I sighed at her, she was standing behind me. I didn't expect her to find me that fast.

"Good thing I'm not her then," I turned sharply to see Krystal. She smiled with her hands in her pockets. "Hi, Frost,"

"How did you find me? What do you want? To insult me again?" I asked childishly.

"I don't remember knowing why you are hurt, Frost, so why are you so angry?"

"What you said reminded me of someone I lost, someone dear to me,"

"I don't know why but this is the first time I can remember saying this to anyone but I feel bad for hurting your feelings with such simple words. I am sorry, Frost. I'm such an idiot. Will you forgive me now and stop acting like a child?"

Huh?

She bit her bottom lip nervously and chuckled. "I mean, will you forgive me? I act like a numbskull sometimes. I'm truly sorry," she apologized just like Wynter.

"Sit," I said softly, turning to face her. I crisscrossed my legs. She sat down opposite me, repeating my sitting position. "Who are your parents and where do you come from?"

"Why do I need to answer that?"

"Because you want me to forgive you. I guess you don't want me to."

"No no, I want you to. I don't know my parents. All I know is my father died before I was born and my mother died when I was little. I moved in to stay with the c… I mean my grandfather. He raised me with my mom's friend." She said hastily. Our stories aren't the same.

"What is your mother's name?" She tilted her head confusedly and itched it.

"I don't know. Grandpa never told me who they were because he was afraid I'd go after their killers."

"They were murdered?" I asked suspiciously.

"So he said. Dad's best friend or something like that poisoned him and my mother's sister sent some assassins to kill us for our property," she looked at the sky thoughtfully. "I know the faces of my mother's killers but I'm yet to find them, especially her. Once I do, they will all pay." She said through gritted teeth and hands clenched tight in anger. My heart clenched at seeing her that way, it was bothering my wolf and me. My wolf urged me to comfort her, to tell her that everything would be alright, and hug her the way Wynter used to hug me when I was sad. I reached forward and touched the back of her hand. There it was. The cold electricity I always felt when I held Wynter's hands. She jerked her hand away from mine. I took her hand back, took the other, and entwined it with mine. It was the same!

"What is the name of your grandfather and Auntie?"

   "Merlin…"

   "Just like Lynn,"

"Almost?" She corrected me. "Humph, Raquelia," she said calmly. My eyes widened.

"As in Lady C?" She nodded. It's starting to make sense. "Are you trying to tell me that your aunt is Lady C?" She nodded. "Are you a werewolf? I can't feel your wolf."

   "I'm not a wolf. I'm just me."

"If you were one, I would have believed you were my lost sister, Wynter. She was an Alpha Female with cryokinesis abilities." I smiled at the incredulous and confused expression on her face. "Let's race,"

   "Eh?"

"When we were kids, I would race with my sister. I'm faster than her when she's not using her ice powers. I would always cheat and she would beat the life out of me and then cry while cursing herself for hurting me. She loved me." I don't understand what's going on if you are her or not. It might be a silly coincidence but I will find out for sure.

Krystal's POV

Alpha Female with cryokinesis abilities?! Is it me? I knew I was a wolf but I didn't know if I was an alpha. Maybe I was the girl he was talking about. Why would Wynter ring a bell in the first place? Why would her name be Wynter? I looked at him clearly. He looked like the woman in my dreams! He looked exactly like me!

How did I not…

"Frost, you look a lot like my…"

"Shhhh, Krystal, don't remember," I heard Aunt Lia's voice in my head. I felt dizzy a bit, causing me to close my eyes.

"I look a lot like your what?"

"Huh?" I opened my eyes. Did I miss something? "Did I say something?" I asked confusedly.

"Scratch that, aren't you gonna go?" Frost asked. Huh?

   "To where?"

"Racing of course! Come on!" He squealed and ran off. Cheater!  I ran after him, having the feeling that I was forgetting something.

Raquelia's POV

Amabel barged into my house with an angry face. I smiled innocently, I knew she would feel the telepathic connection between her and Wynter, she's just too hard to hide something from for long. She huffed and threw herself on the sofa. "I hate your surprise gift,"

   I laughed. "Kevin doesn't,"

She snorted. "Of course, he would, he's an idiot. And how the hell did she turn into a living version of Killer Frost? Don't you think that's too much?"

"That is why I brought her back to Frost, she needs him. Wynter thinks her mother is the true winter guardian but her sister killed her to take that positive. Now, she believes that even though she is not the witch, it is her duty as her mother's only child to eliminate the Ice Queen and restore her mother's honor. She believes she's only a replacement until a new guardian is born,"

"That doesn't sound like something the Wynter I know will buy. You used magic to tamper with her head, didn't you?" I giggled in response. Amabel sighed. "And now she's met with two of the guardians? Sooner or later, she ought to figure it out."

"Not when I twisted the force so she can only connect the dots when she meets the Lord of Summer or when I remove the seal. She'll probably break free, but not yet," I smiled. She sighed with frustration and puffed out air. "Easy, Amabel. I know what I'm doing. I always do." I smiled.
