Frost's POV

Boring classes ended, and the last class was before lunch. Rafaelia and Aida stood up with their bags as did Krystal and the trio walked out of the class. I grabbed my bag, tossed it at Ayden, and ran after the girls with the full intention to tease them. I grabbed onto Raf's waist and pulled her towards me, causing her to groan exasperatedly while Aida snorted. Krystal didn't spare us a glance.

"Get your hand off my waist," she snapped. That made Krystal glance at us.

"Don't you love me anymore?" I pouted.

"I love you being a fruit fly," she said with a sick smile. I backed away immediately and turned over to Krystal. I flung my arm over her shoulders and grinned, causing her to grunt and grabbed my hand as if she was going to twist it but stopped and sighed. She let me be.

"What's up, hot legs?!" I shrieked. She hissed. "Aww, my charms are working," why did it feel so homely to be next to her?

"You have ten seconds to get your hand off me or lose it," she threatened. Hey! Dad's favorite threat. These two can be buddies. "Ten…"

   "Nine," I counted.

   "Eight…"

"Seven," I completed for her. She stared at me with that same amusement and disbelief she gave me the first time we met. I winked at her, causing her to roll those pretty blue orbs over to Raf. Raf sighed and yanked me away from her by my ear. Damn, she'll be great with aggressive sex.

"Stop testing her, boy," she said warningly.

"Why? A hot girl like her should be with me." Somehow, I felt my throat close up at the thought of being with her sexually.

"And annoying pests like you should be dead," Krystal hissed.

"She loves me so much!" I squealed excitedly, flying back to her and engulfing her in a tight but warm hug. Krystal froze, her body became rigid and a glint of horror flashed in her eyes. I could tell she wasn't used to getting hugs.

"Frost, behave y…" Raf tried to caution me, but Krystal felt too comfy to let go of. Her body was cold, almost as cold as my sister's back then. If I didn't know any better, she was reacting the same way Wynter did when I surprised her with hugs, right before she relaxed for a few seconds before pushing me away by palming my face and pushing me off. My heart skipped as her body relaxed and within three seconds, her palm came down on my face and she pushed me off. I reeled back with shock, my back ending up slamming against two lockers. I looked at her dumbfounded. This is the part where she looks at me with concern and asks if I'm okay.

"Are you alright? You need to stop hugging me, I despise it," my heart dropped to my stomach as she repeated the same line. Goosebumps spread on my skin and my throat went parch. No, it can't be. This is just a coincidence.

"Frost, are you okay?" Raf asked worriedly, already standing next to me. I gulped dryly and managed to nod. I straightened myself as if I was possessed and went back to her for a bigger hug but Lynn came out of nowhere, lifted me by my waist, and threw me on his shoulder. "Hey! Why am I being kidnapped?"

"Don't go close to her," he said coldly, then turned to Krystal and gave her a sweet smile. "I'll take this toy off your hands," he said sweetly to Krystal. She tilted her head weirdly and stared at him deadpan. Ouch, buddy, that has got to hurt. Lynn started walking away with me but I could tell her response struck a nerve.

"I'll call you later, my new angel!" I shouted and when she smiled in response, I squealed while fanning myself like a girl. "Look, big brother, she smiled," I said mockingly. Lynn intentionally used my head to whip a locker.

"Oops, my bad," he said sarcastically. But that didn't stop me from breaking into laughter as he carried me away.

"Remember what we told you, Krystal," I heard Aida talking. "You can play with Frost as much as you want, he's A-OK, but stay away from that golden boy, he's a dick!"

"That bitch," Merlynn cursed under his breath.

"He doesn't just look like a bastard, he smells like one. Pathetic," Krystal replied, even if she sounded a bit confused. She was probably confused by the mate bond. Lynn almost tripped over himself and I helped myself with laughter.

Rafaelia's POV

Krystal huffed and puffed as she kept her books back in her locker. She was probably wondering why she didn't hurt Frost or why she felt comfortable with Aida and me. Our bond as seasonal guardians couldn't be mistaken, but since she was intentionally not trained to know about the bond, she didn't understand why. I hoped she didn't meet the summer lord because, with the complete guardians, she is bound to remember that she is the actual goddess of winter and not her mother. As for her bond with Frost, it was still as strong as ever. I was certain Frost was also confused by how he wasn't sexually attracted to her. I knew him though, with how he reacted a few minutes ago, we should expect him to figure out everything. For now, it was my job to make sure no one—including Krystal—discovered her true identity.

"Is he always that annoying?" She asked upsettingly.

"Only 24/7," Aida said with a giggle.

"You need to meet my brother, Ayden, that clown is just like him, even worse!" I slammed my locker shut. "He is the most annoying human being in existence and he never acts his age. Many times, I wish I could destroy him, but I can't because he is my older brother and I love him. At least, he is better than Aaron."

   "Wait, Ayden? Aida's twin?"

"No. We have similar names but we are second cousins," Krystal mouthed an "O" as she looked at nothing thoughtfully.

"That guy, the one that carried him away… who… Never mind," she waved it off unsurely. I turned and looked at Lunaria and Darrell walking past and holding hands. I tapped Aida and pointed to them with a smirk.

"Don't they look good together?" I chirped to annoy her. Her face turned orange like it usually does when she's mad. She slammed her locker shut and stomped over to them.

"Excuse me," she said sweetly, pulling them apart. "Darrell, baby, can you come help me out with something? I really need it." She batted her eyelashes and it pained me to admit that she was cuter than her personality.

"But he was walking me to the cafeteria," Ria protested.

"Don't you have legs?" Aida barked.

"Sorry, Aida but I have to go with my friend," Darrell said reluctantly.

Aida gasped outrageously. "You are choosing her over me?"

"She's my friend, Aida, stop overreacting." I've tried warning Lunaria to stay away from Darrell, but she had a death wish. Everyone knew Aida was a lunatic when it came to her possession. The only reason she never lost it was that she didn't consider Ria a threat, but Ria wanted to prove that she was. Oh well, her death certificate.

"Then I'll find someone else to help me out," she walked forward. "Hey, the hot boy with a watermelon head!" She shouted. "Come help mama with something," she sashayed off as the boy tried to keep up with her pace. She walks fast. Darrell sighed and continued walking with Ria.

"Mates, you've gotta hate 'em," Krystal said. I chuckled.

   "Tell me about it."
