Krystal's POV
The day went by like nothing. Classes were lame, the school was lame, and the people were also lame. The only good thing was my new friends, Faelly and Aida. I didn't want to be her friend but I felt compared to, and they weren't so bad. We sat in the cafeteria, they were eating, chatting, and laughing while I stared at them and just listened to their stories about their friend who is the young lord of summer but doesn't attend school. The boy was a month older than Faelly, but from the stories, he seemed to be more mature and I couldn't understand why I was so interested in the stories about him.
I wasn't eating, I didn't eat food I didn't prepare but I was waiting for Frost to arrive so I could share his meal. I felt the need to. Then there was a faint chocolate and honey scent in the air but it faded away as Wynter groaned. The scents had been bothering me all morning.
The cafeteria door swayed open and the girls went wild with screams.
«Don't look» Wynter said distraughtly. I did anyway and I regret looking as my eyes landed on a pair of green eyes with gold highlights. My heart stopped beating again. It was him.
His semi-long silky gold hair with light red streaks bounced in a very weird slow motion or maybe it was me. His red lips were curved in a sexy smile, his long lashes flapping as he winked at girls. From his jawline to his chest to his pulsating muscles, he was a pure creation of perfection.
Wait, what!
«I said stop staring» Wynter growled again. His eyes met mine and he paused for two seconds before he smiled and winked at me. I rolled my eyes and stared at my hands immediately, my heart losing control and my breath not in order. I felt my temperature rising as Wynter fought something and it was hurting me.
«You okay?» I asked worriedly.
«I'll be fine, but we should leave.»
"Hot legs!" I smiled and raised my head, just as he threw himself on me, squeezing me in for another tight hug. He had a grin the size of a teapot on his face as he squished his cheek against my masked one. I couldn't stop myself from smiling, even as I tried to pry him off me. "Did you miss me? Of course, you did! Silly me. How are you?"
"I was good ten seconds ago," the happiness couldn't be missed in my voice.
"Then what happened?"
"You came and bulldozed it all away," he smiled and brought out another bar of chocolate from his side pocket and this one looked bigger. He left one hand across my shoulders and I didn't mind. "Do you carry this around?"
"Pretty much," he said, tearing the wrapper open, "a different type for every day," he broke off a piece and fed it to me. The laugh behind me stopped my heart again.
Breathe, Krystal.
"Wow, Frost, you already made…" he forced Frost's hand off me and pushed Frost away from me so that there was little space between us. "Don't trouble the new girl who is an X-mark student," he said with venom in his voice as he sat at my other side. The golden joy of walking gorgeous perfection sat next to me.
«Stop admiring him!!!» Wynter thundered.
«I'm just admiring a work of art!»… I defended myself. I bit my lip. Since when did I start admiring art? «Wynter, is he my m—»
«No,» Wynter said blatantly.
"Hi, I'm Lunaria," the girl from earlier introduced, sitting between Aida and her mate who sat close to us too.
