The wind howled in his ears as the snow rained on him. He held on to his fur scarf tightly, holding it up over his mouth and nose. The cold was severe, enough to penetrate his coat despite its thick layers. He was exhausted and his legs were almost done for. He didn't plan to be stuck in a blizzard and it was too late to turn back by the time it got too hard to bear.

He ran up the ice stairs and reached the large ice doors. He grabbed the heavy handles and slammed them repeatedly, knocking as loud as his weakening hands could. One of the doors opened slightly and he quickly slipped into it. If it wasn't for the money, he wouldn't have agreed to undertake this journey to deliver the info he had.

He shivered when the door closed behind him and his arms went around his body, his teeth clanking against each other and his eyes filled with painful tears. The sound of howling wind silenced thanks to the doors and it was less cold there. As he shivered, the sound of footsteps reached his ears. He dragged his eyes from his shaking legs to the feet of the person. He looked up his legs to the face of the person who offered him good money to gather the information. Hopefully, he won't be killed after delivering the information. He hoped the backup plan would make that possible.

Damian looked at the lanky child with an expressionless face, his hands buried inside the pockets of his trench coat. He was surprised the kid could make it this far, he expected him to pass out along the way. He was also glad he hired someone beforehand to keep an eye on Merlynn and Frost. He didn't think that the spies he planted would be useful but he sure was glad they were.

"What do you have for me?" He asked, glancing behind him as he heard a loud screech and a crash. Icy was at it again. He sighed and looked back at the young guy with a smile. "What's new?" The guy tried to speak but he was shaking too much. He sighed again and turned around. "A maid will come to attend to you in a few seconds, I'll wait until you're ready," he walked out on him, heading straight to the room the crash was coming from.

He opened the door and ducked, and a large long lamp flew past his head. He nonchalantly stood up and walked in, then shut the door behind him. His eyes followed the angry flash movements of Icy. Her pale blue hair flew in the wind behind her and her heels clicked on the ice floor. He looked at the dress he bought for her and frowned. He spent a lot of money on that dress and she ruined it with anger. He shook his head, wondering why he bought it in the first place.

Icy's anger was justified this time. Even he couldn't complain about how bad everything was. It started when she asked the mirror where Wynter was and the mirror claimed that no one with that name that matches her needs existed. She asked again and the mirror repeated the same answer. Then she asked to know where the successor of the late winter witch was and the mirror's response was both shocking and bone-chilling. "And why should I give you the answer to that? You are not qualified to know the location of my master if she doesn't permit, and you have overstayed your welcome." Then the mirror disappeared. While they were still in shock, a sudden blizzard struck and most of the rooms in the castle were locked. The castle was trying to drive them out.

Damian sighed. They were out of time and soon, their army would abandon them. The only army they had left was his army of the undead and summoned creatures. Still, after Merlynn's last attack, he'd lost a good number of them. Damian was frustrated that things weren't going as planned and it would take a miracle to fix it. "Icy—"

"My room kicked me out, can you imagine?!" She screamed, throwing another vase at the wall. He rolled his eyes but said nothing. "Why is this happening to me? Why can't good things come my way? I'm a good person!" Icy's situation had turned her delusional. He didn't think the great and feared ice queen would be reduced to this. He was regretting joining sides with her. He'd lost too much already because of her.

He sighed and found a chair to sit on. He quietly watched her scream and rant because he didn't know what to say to her. The only thing tying him to her was the contract. He wished he didn't sign the contract and he was starting to think he should forfeit it. The only condition for forfeiting the contract was that his army and a few of his powers would be transferred to Icy. He'd lose everything but at least, he'd get to keep his life. He'd also need to go into hiding because of her, but that was something he already planned ahead.

‘If the info the kid has isn't good news, I'll forfeit this contract,’ he thought. His life is more important.

They waited for an hour before the kid was brought to them. He signaled the maid to stop him at the door because he was worried about what Icy would do to the kid. He still needed the kid alive. "Well? Start telling me! What good news do you have for me, you worthless human?!!!"

The kid flinched with a little scream but managed to remain standing. Damian thought the boy was tough. "I'm a raven," he even had the courage to correct the bloody killer. The kid was intriguing him more and more. Fortunately, Icy didn't hear what he said so he covered up with his information. "I'd been keeping an eye on Frost and Lynn as instructed for a while but couldn't report anything as all they do is fuck around until recently," he looked at Damian nervously, his whole body trembling and teeth grinding with fear.

   "Go on," Damian urged.

"It started with the appearance of an X-mark student, Krystal Sage," Damian's ears perked. "No one knows much about her but she's powerful and her aura reeks of death. On her first day in school, she killed your other spy, Ronny Jones because he upset her and sometime later, she stood off against Aaron—"

"What?" Damian asked with shock while Icy stared at him puzzled, unaware of who that is. "You mean the firstborn child of The Keeper and the leader of the Paranormal Control Group?" The boy nodded. "Tell me more about this girl!" Icy couldn't tell why he was that excited but she bet it was a good thing.

"Krystal is close to Rafaelia and Aida," now those two, Icy knew. She would have killed them a long time ago, but they were protected by The Keeper so she minded her business. "And Frost really likes her. In fact, he calls her his sister and she cares about him too. On top of that, she's Merlynn Hubris' mate and she knows The Keeper," Damian's eyes widened with surprise as the pieces stuck together. It had to be it. Aida and Rafaelia will never get close to a girl that isn't in their league or related to Frost, and Frost would never call anyone else his sister except Wynter.

"You said she stood against Aaron?"

"Yes," the kid nodded. He could tell the information was valuable and that meant he would get rewarded handsomely. "Frost and Rafaelia are mates but Frost was hiding it. They are together now but Aaron wasn't pleased so he almost killed him. Krystal intervened when no one else did and it turned out that Aaron dotes on her too. She's his second ‘baby girl’ as he said. He literally went around threatening to destroy anyone who harms either of his girls," Damian grinned from ear to ear. This information was both good and bad news, more bad news in fact. Still, he couldn't stop grinning. "They are currently not in this world, though," he announced.

Damian listened to everything the kid had to say. "Inform me when she returns to school and make it your new mission to follow her about. What's the color of her hair and eyes?"

"Black hair but her eyes are uncertain. I thought it was gunmetal blue but before she left for the trip, her eyes were black," Damian nodded and gestured to the maid.

"Give him the sack and escort him out through the portal. Remember, you'll get more money if you do this job right," the kid's eyes light up. Not only was he going to get paid, he wouldn't have to go through the same way he came. It was a blessed day for him indeed. He happily followed the maid out. The moment the doors closed, Damian looked at Icy and was surprised to see the evil smirk on her face. He didn't know why he was surprised. Icy wasn't a fool after all.

"Looks like we found our missing princess," the smile on her face said it all. She was going to do something stupid. She wasn't a fool, at least, not hundred percent. She wasn't thinking about the people around the ‘missing princess’. This wasn't like the attack on Arabel who had no one to help her. He hadn't seen her yet but he knew that the missing princess might be more of a missing assassin and the people around her were equal slaughterers.

He wasn't going to be a part of it.

Icy knows that Krystal is alive and has returned. Trouble.
