Krystal's POV

I breathed in deeply, my eyes still fixed on the castle. Frost came up behind me and hugged me, dropping his head on mine. I lifted my hand and caressed his cheek, something I wasn't sure why I was doing. His touch was always nostalgic. It wasn't electrifying and sparks-igniting like Lynn's, but it still felt like something, unlike Lenius. He crossed his hand around my waist and placed his clasped palms against my stomach as if he was trying to heat it. Well, he was heating it up. Frost's body temperature might be cold, but he was warmer than I was, much warmer compared to me.

Frost hummed as he sniffed the spot above my ear and then planted a butterfly kiss on it. "You almost smell like Mom,"

   "Huh?"

"You smell like dinner," he joked.

"Oh, my God! Will you give it a break, Frost!" Lynn exclaimed while Faelly giggled. I always wondered why she never seemed bothered by Frost's clinginess, or why she never showed any ounce of jealousy when he gets touchy, or when I suddenly grew an obsession for smacking his ass, but maybe she just trusts me too much. It's not like I planned to do anything bad with him, but trusting me that much—especially when she knew the kind of guy she was mated to—was just wrong. It was amusing and heartwarming but still wrong. Never trusting people is something I learned while growing up.

"No need to be a big baby about it, Lynn, between us we know that means nothing," Lee said nonchalantly as he dragged his bag away from the coach driver. Lynn turned his head away, huffing and puffing.

"I have to ask," the second princess asked, raising her hand as if she was in a classroom and poking her face in front of Frost and me. I've forgotten her name, I'll just call her Princess Perfect because she's the kingdom's perfect princess. "What is the relationship between you three?" She asked, pointing between me, Lynn, and Frost. Lynn was back to a stoic face while Faelly just smiled and shook her head, taking her bag and Frost from the coach driver.

"None of y—" I started to say but Frost pinched my stomach.

"Be nice or shut up," he whispered, causing me to tilt my head to see his face. He arched an amused brow at me and then looked at the princess with something similar to a seductive smile. "This brat right here is my older sister and that angel over there is my girlfriend, she hates sharing," he winked at Faelly and she laughed, shaking her head again. Lynn glanced at us, expecting a good title for him, but I smirked and twisted my lips.

"And your relationship with him?" Princess Pink asked, pointing at Lynn. Lynn looked at me with puppy eyes, expecting a good title and I wanted to give him a bad one, but I knew the pink girl had her eyes on him.

"To me, he's someone you're not allowed to touch, that's if you love living," I replied. It wasn't an answer, just a threat to remind her of her place. She opened her mouth to say something but the queen snapped her fingers and snarled something at her daughter. It was probably their native tongue. Princess Pink stepped back with her head bowed but a scowl never leaving her face. The prince stepped in front of everyone and did a gentlemanly bow.

"Welcome to our humble abode, ladies and gentlemen. We the royal family of Paceladopia are honored that your Lady Guardian finds our kingdom worthy of your visit," I instantly knew that the prince was not like the rest of his family. He had a strict air to him, but a gentle and polite smile on his face. If I wasn't so difficult to please, I would have said he was handsome and pleasing to the eyes. He was to the other ladies so I guess he was.

"A welcome party will be held for you tomorrow evening. The following day, I will personally take you on a tour around the castle and the kingdom if you wish. Then the battle of strength and skills will be conducted. We're sorry if it might seem disrespectful but it's only right that we test the strength of the people that will be assisting us against future trouble. Afterward, we can sign the agreement."
