Lynn's POV
I slid my hand into my pocket as I turned into another hallway, the one leading to the cafeteria. I finally returned to school to my dismay. I wished I didn't. I wanted to spend more time at home… Krystal's home, that is, away from mine but I ended up returning home because of my sisters. Having to deal with my father after everything that has happened the past week was exhausting, and then the shock of returning to find my betrothed living in my bedroom.
Father knew what he was doing when he chose her. He knew the exact type of girl I liked and he either saw it in her or made her change her appearance to match it. She was a hot creamy blond with cognac brown eyes and beautiful beige skin. She wasn't curvy, just beautifully slender with huge bosoms and a very, drop-dead gorgeous face. If it was before, I would have been following her about, heck, I wanted to follow her about now. Still, one thing that Dad forgot is that I will end up leaving her because she is not my mate.
I couldn't tell Krystal yet because I was worried about what she would do. If she could kill Rose, there was no doubt she would be able to terminate the princess too. I also didn't want to tell her of my inner conflict to flirt with her. I already started flirting with her without knowing and I almost agreed to share a bedroom with her. She was dangerous. Her beauty was dangerous. Plus, her kingdom seemed to be more powerful than I expected. I didn't want to make an enemy of her father, and I understood why Dad couldn't turn his request down. Even if I show them Krystal, they will still insist on my marriage with the princess and if we disagree, there's going to be war.
My pack can't afford war for now.
I'm totally screwed.
"Yo! Goldilocks!" I groaned. It has been a while since I heard that name. "Hiya, brother!" He shrieked, throwing his hand around my shoulders. I glared at him and he giggled. "You look like crap,"
"I am crap," I scoffed. Frost's smile faltered and he looked at me with concern. "My betrothed has packed into my bedroom and last night, I fucking got a boner and beat my meat thinking about her. I'm more than crap, I'm a bastard," Frost shook his head. I told him about it but he didn't think it was a big deal. "Krystal's going to hate my damn ass,"
Frost waved at a guy with a laugh. "You're doing great, Lynn, don't be hard on yourself. No one will blame you for it. You're trying more than I ever could so relax. You thought about another woman for the first time since you marked her and you're trying your best to stop yourself. I've lost count of the times I fucked girls in my head since I marked Rafaelia and a few times, I kissed them in person. Raf gets mad but she knows I'm doing my best and that is what matters."
"Easy for you to say," he looked at me and raised a brow. "Raf and Krystal are two different people. Raf is considerate, sweet, caring, and loving. She's very understanding and forgiving but we both know your sister is far from that. She will—"
"She's a cold-hearted person but she's also trying to be different for you. You are both working hard to build your relationship. Talk to her. Hiding things from her won't make your relationship work—"
"What if—"
"Stop. My sister is not a fool. Just tell her what is going on and trust her. Telling her on time will help her figure something out," I tilted my head to the side with a humph, turning my eyes away. I knew he was right but I was still afraid. It had a lot to do with what happened with Rose. She only forgave me because of Ruby's testimony. What if Ruby didn't say anything? What if Ruby never found out the truth? I lost my powers and I was left in a dark containment for days. Krystal would have left me there to die. Everyone would have gladly abandoned me, even Frost. What would I have done then? I was scared.
Frost rubbed my shoulder comfortingly, making me look at him with worry and tears in my eyes. "No one is abandoning you, Lynn, we are not your parents. I'm your best friend, I won't leave you just because of a mistake you made that I've made countless times. Krystal cares about you and if there's one thing I know about my sister is that once she comes to care and love someone, she never lets them go. Just trust her and tell her,"
"Tell me what?" I flinched simultaneously with Frost, though he swore out. We turned around with pounding hearts and our hands placed on it and stared at Krystal scared out of our wit. She tilted her head to the side, innocent confusion in her eyes. My startled heartbeat changed to a different rhythm as I saw her face. What has she done to her hair? She's so cute! I placed my fist on my mouth, my cheeks turning red Fe embarrassment and the loud jamming of my heart which I knew they could hear. Everyone could.
Krystal wore her hair up in pigtails, two fluffy and curly pigtails. Her hair was cinnamon brown today and her eyes were forest green. She added a little shimmer lip gloss over her natural pink lips. (I only recently found out from Frost that Krystal's true lip color was pink, not red. Hench, I had to give up on my nickname for her.) I don't know how she managed to do it, but she completely changed herself to adorable with cute curly full bangs. She also went as far as using cute creamy white pearl scrunchies. I looked at what she was wearing and it matched her vibe. It was cute and sexy at the same time. She wore some kind of short jacket with long sleeves, a white tube top, and a short pleated skirt. Her outfit was cream-colored like her scrunchies.
She looked like an innocent young teen girl.
I cursed into my fist as blood raced to my cock, causing it to twitch in my white jeans. I carefully adjusted my pants while Frost unintentionally distracted her by squealing about how adorable she was. I don't deserve to think about her body, not now. "Urgh, I knew I should have changed my outfit," she complained, pushing Frost away. She looked at me for help since he kept coming back and trying to kiss and hug her. I grabbed him by the back of his collar and pulled him towards me. She breathed out with relief.
"Krystal, why are you dressed like this?" I questioned, holding Frost tightly to myself. He was still trying to get away from me, continuously squealing about her cuteness. My adulterous eyes ogled her legs before she snapped her fingers to get my attention.
"I lost a bet to my grandfather, then I ended up like this," she complained. "And what were you guys talking about right now? What aren't you telling me?"
"It's nothing," I lied within a heartbeat.
Krystal scoffed. "Frost, if you tell me what it is, I'll give you your hugging privilege for a week," shit!
"Merlynn's betrothed is living in his house now and in his bedroom and last night he almost gave in to sleeping with her!" He gushed out before I could stop him. Then he leaped away from me and threw himself on her, laughing and squealing like a girl. He wrapped his legs around her waist, holding on to her as if his life depended on it. Maybe it does because I wanted to skin him alive.
I tore my gaze away from her face before I could see the look of disappointment on her face. And I least expected her to scoff or say something harsh, but she chuckled. "Oh, I already know about that, and don't worry, I'll get rid of her soon enough," with that, she walked past me with Frost still clinging to her. I remained frozen on my spot, unsure of how to react to the news that she knew and that she was already planning to get rid of the princess.
What type of ridding are we talking about here?
