Edgeshot jumped to attack one more time, his swift karateka moves fast, sharp, and lethal. Lenora did her best to recall all the taekwondo she learned in those years, trying to look elegant as much as the Pro. It was unreal: whenever he fell, jumped, punched, or kicked, his body followed his strong spirit perfectly, making up a wonderful show. He really made combat an art, while she could be some sort of elegant only when dodging. If she attacked she could see herself in the mirrors around them looking feral, her eyes expressing how much she wanted to win and nothing more. That was what her friends did anytime they were spare? That crazy look? Those burning eyes? That smug grin? Jeez, the man she was fighting didn't even sweat and she was there, being kicked one more time in the back of her knees, her braids all messed up, panting, and with the tank top fully wet.

"You give up?", Edgeshot asked her, his foot pushed on her back, providing her from moving.

Lenora avoided grunting, thinking that guttural noises weren't the best idea at that moment, and rolled on the floor, ignoring how the pain passed from her low back to her stomach, the man zori sandal pressing down more. The girl used her hands to grip his leg, trying to free herself, but the man just scoffed.

"That's all you can do? Pathetic."

Len let out a deep breath, calming her nerve before answering.

"No."

She used his leg to boost herself and wrapped her legs around the Pro's torso. He remained unfazed, almost mocking her.

"And now? You're not strong enough to..."

Angry and tired, Lenora squeezed her legs more, using all the force she had to reverse the situation and make the man fall on his back too, this time the girl was on top of him, seated on his chest.

The Pro didn't land gracefully this time, hitting his head on the floor, and his mask slightly slipped off his face.

"I am strong", Len panted, standing up abruptly, cracking her neck, ready for another round.

Edgeshot knew he hit a weak spot, "You may think you are, but trust me, kid, you're not. Look at you. If you would be stronger, you would've won the Sports Festivals or maybe done something more. Something outside campus to help someone you care for."

Her eyes widened, her head snapping toward the man, unsure. Did he know about her family? How could, though? Did the school have more things than what she knew in her dossier? Or he was just trying to piss her off?

If I was stronger, I could save Ko-chan. I could save mom. Dad. Our lovely dog. I could've saved them all.

Lenora had to inhale two large amounts of air before recollecting her thoughts and putting her body in position; right foot in front, left behind, her arms raised and ready to protect her face. She cracked her neck one more time, swooshing away a fallen strand of hair.
