Len was closed in her room for the next two days of summer vacation. She replied to some texts but never the calls, she studied, she read, and she did everything she could to avoid thinking about Shigaraki Tomura. Mariko and Tadashi were worried about her; their kid was usually a little bubble of energy and a good mood, so something was surely wrong.
Mariko tried to talk to her but nothing came out, so Tadashi tried and it ended up with the same result. They passed with strong manners, calling Izuku and here he was in front of their door, smiling.
"Her room, do whatever it takes but...help her, Izuku", Mariko pushed him up the stairs, her eyes filled with anxiety.
Izuku jogged to Len's room, knocking before making his way inside.
The girl was curled on her pouf, a book in her hands but her eyes were looking outside the window. Izuku took a deep breath, making his way to his friend. He dropped his bag on the floor and crawled on the pouf too, squishing himself near her.
Len's eyes moved slowly to Izuku and immediately started watering, "Izuku..."
He wrapped his arms around Len, who never looked so fragile in Izuku's eyes. He stroked her hair, letting her cry on his shoulder.
"What happened, Len? We're worried", he whispered.
Lenora cried until she hadn't more tears to shed, wetting Izuku's t-shirt.
"Shigaraki Tomura happened," she mumbled, "I...I'm scared", she couldn't say everything yet.
Izuku let out a shaky breath, "I'm scared too, Len. But we can't let our fears take over us. You taught me that a long time ago."
Lenora recognized her words and nodded, "I know but..."
"Hey, no buts," Izuku moved, using one hand to raise her chin, looking deep into her eyes, "you, Lenora, you're the strongest person I know. You're my other half and I hate to see you like that. If you're scared then remember that I'll be at your side, no matter what. Always. We promised it to each other. For-ever", he tapped her nose two times while saying the last word, as to make sure she knew he really meant that.
Len cracked the first smile of the previous two days, tapping his nose as well, "Forever, huh? You better remember it once you become Number One."
Izuku laughed, "Oh please, you'll reach that rank before me."
She sniffed, "Don't be modest now, little All Might."
Izuku stiffen for a second, his eyes widening, "What do you mean?"
Len sighed, tilting her head, "Izuku, I never asked you anything about your power, but you know really well how my runes work. And how many I have. And how different they are. I can sense things no one else can and your quirk and All Might's is really similar," she explained, "I won't push it. If one day you feel like telling me I'll be here, if you don't who cares? I'll be at your side no matter what."
