Lenora woke up two days later in a hospital room, Izuku on the bed beside hers still asleep. She didn't remember how she arrived there but she clearly remember she lost Katsuki. She lost him to those damn villains. She failed someone who love once again. First her brother, then her Katsuki, her other soulmate, her heart. Tears started flowing down her cheeks and she raised her right arm to place her hand on her mouth, trying to muffle the sobs.
"Len?"
Izuku's weak voice called her, but she couldn't answer, too busy crying.
"Hey, stop crying, please. Please", he begged her. Izuku was frustrated shifting in the bed, desperately trying to watch her, but his damn casts and the numerous drips between them were making its attempts useless.
Len cried for a bit more before forcing herself to stop, taking a look at her body to check the injuries. Her left arm was in a cast but didn't hurt badly like before and her back seemed fine since she was laying on it.
Recovery Girl must've helped, she thought, sighing.
"We lost him...", she whispered, turning her head to Izuku.
Izuku felt his eyes watering, "I'm so sorry, Len."
"I'm sorry too."
Silence filled the room after that statement and it went on until the door of the room was opened and Kaminari's head popped in.
"You guys are awake!"
Mina pushed him away, running into the room, right into Lenora's good arm. Kirishima, Tsu, Ochaco, Denki, Sero, and Aoyama were right after her, all kneeling on her side.
Len patted their heads, smiling, wiping off Mina's tears, "Don't cry, we're fine."
"I was so worried!", she took Lenora's good hand, squeezing it hard.
Len and Izuku reassured all class about their conditions, asking about the missing people; apparently Momo, Jirou and Hagakure were still recovering in the hospital while the only one missing was Katsuki.
Izuku took a deep breath, "All Might told me that there'll always be people behind our reach that we can't protect, even if we want to, which is why we have to save people we can reach."
Lenora felt her heart clench, "I was so close to saving him, I was there...I had to save him..."
"I was there too, Len. I was close, too. I needed to save him. That's the reason I have my quirk. But my body wouldn't move, I couldn't save someone who was right in front of me..."
Izuku started crying too and Len felt tears coming back.
Lenora sobbed, "I was closer, stop blaming yourself! I was the one who failed! I let them take him away!"
Kirishima couldn't see his friends feeling like that so he was determined to do something, "Then let's go save him", Izuku was shocked, "I was there yesterday too, and so was Todoroki. We were on our way to see you when we saw All Might talking with a police officer and Yaoyorozu. She was able to attach a tracking device to one of the villains and...well, we thought we could make Yaoyorozu make another device to track down the villain."
