The next day Len woke up alone, gently wrapped in a blanket, with a pillow under her head, and with the delicious smell of chocolate chips cookie and hot milk with honey. She didn't get much sleep, but being closer to Katsuki and Izuku helped her not break down again. Rubbing her face with her hands she sighed loudly, her heart remembering what happened the day before, aching badly.

Tadashi was gone.

She wouldn't be able to see his smile, hear his jokes, being playfully hit by his cane. No more comforting hugging every time they read poetry together, no more chestnuts cooked on the fireplace, no more teasing about Katsuki.

Shit, I have to tell them, she thought. Izuku and Katsuki were part of the family, they must know the one they considered a grandpa was not there anymore.

Soft steps were making their way toward her and she sensed someone crunching down beside her, the sweet smell now closer.

"Hey", a familiar hand caressed her cheek, making her eyes flutter open. They ended on Katsuki's beautiful features, his crimson eyes full of what looked like sorrow and worry.

She understood he knew already, probably Mariko called Mitsuki and Inko last night, giving them the terrible news.

Len batted her eyes, waking up completely, "Hey."

He had a trail in his hands filled with cookies, her mug, and lots of colorful post-its.

"What are those?", lifting her back to sit on the couch crossed-leg, she stretched her hand to take one of the notes, reading it.

'You left post-it for us once, remembering you were still with us even if you were training hard. Now we're doing the same. We're here and we love you. For everything, I'll be in the room next to yours.

Mina xx'

Len brought the pink post-it to her heart, closing her eyes for a moment, and breathing deeply.

"You need to eat," Katsuki carefully replaced the note with a biscuit, "Sato made them for you. He may be going a little overboard, but he knew they're your favorite."

A big tear fell from her eyes and splashed on the blanket, "I don't know what to say..."

Katsuki placed the trail on the couch next to her, putting his hands on her knees, and squeezing them, "The thing is, you don't have to say anything."

He never spoke to her like that; his tone was soft, calming, and reassuring, like she was a scared little kid who need to be reminded that the world wasn't so bad after all.

She slowly ate the cookies, her mouth fast overwhelmed by the melted chocolate inside and the appealing texture. A satisfied groan came out of her throat: she didn't know how much she was hungry until that first bite.

Katsuki stayed with her until she finished all her breakfast, giving her bruised feet a relaxing massage and occasionally smiling when her clumsy side would come out and her face got smudged with crumbs or the milk's foam.
