Kie's POV:

Lucas and I went on our first official date. He took me to a fancy restaurant and then he asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes. I was so happy we were finally official.

"Now that we're dating, I will punch JJ the next time he does anything to you"

"I know it looks bad, but it's all harmless. He'd never actually really hurt me. We've had this thing since we were kids"

Lucas seemed annoyed that I told him he couldn't beat JJ up. My mom and dad both really liked Lucas and he hung out at our house all the time. The fall dance was coming up this weekend and Sarah and I were going to get ready together.

She came over and we did our hair and makeup and got our dresses on. My mom took lots of pictures and then the boys showed up and she got even more pictures. We were all in Topper's jeep heading to the school dance.

The dance itself was pretty lame, but the after party was so much better. Lucas and I were making out on the dance floor. I loved kissing him. The after party was at one of the kids houses and soon kids from the started showing up. Which meant that JJ was probably here.

I looked around trying to find him before he found me. But I was too late, he came up to me and said, "Damn, you look like a kook"

"Maybe that's because I am a kook. What's your excuse for looking like shit? Can't blame it on being a pogue because Pope and John B look better than you do"

JJ made a face and it was different from normal. I brushed it off as he said, "Watch your back tonight, or should I say your hair. Lots of options here"

"Dude, leave her alone" Lucas said trying to defend me

"How about you leave me alone"

The next thing I knew, Lucas had punched JJ in the face. JJ was quick to defend himself and hit him back. The two were going at it until they were physically separated. JJ looked at me after as he was being held back by John B and Pope.

I grabbed Lucas and walked away from JJ. Sarah and Topper followed us and we got to the car and I looked at Lucas and said, "I told you not to punch him. He didn't do anything to me"

"Are you seriously defending him right now? He's been an ass to you for years. He's constantly saying stupid shit to you, doing stupid shit to you and you just take it. I'm not going to let him keep hurting the girl that I'm dating"

"Lucas, it's hard to explain but I'm not innocent in this either. We both do stupid shit to each other all the time. It's always been that way. But we'd never actually physically hurt each other"

"Wow, never thought I'd see the day where Kiara Carrera was defending the loser JJ Maybank" Lucas said

"I'm not defending him but it's not really fair for you to punch him because he can't punch me back"

"Fair? Nothing about this is fair. You deserve all the love and respect and that guy doesn't give a shit about you. Stop caring about that piece of shit"

"You're right, but our feud will never be over. It's just this ongoing thing that never ends. I'm so used to it that it doesn't bother me"

Lucas was mad at me for my feud with JJ. There was nothing I could do about it so I just ignored it and he seemed to forget about it. Luckily, he wasn't too hurt from the fight. We were all spending the night at Toppers with a few of our other kook friends.

JJ's POV:

Kie and I were arguing tonight and then her freaking boyfriend punched me. I really didn't want to get into a fight but I had to defend myself. We got pulled apart and both John B and Pope were holding me back.

I made eye contact with Kie and she looked super stressed. She walked away with Lucas and the boys forced me to leave the party.

They couldn't believe that I actually got in a fight.

"Honestly, I'm shocked this hasn't happened sooner. You'd think one of her kook friends would have lost it at some point" Pope said as we sat outside the Chateau around the fire

"I wouldn't be as pissed if Kie was the one to hit me. It's just the fact that her stupid boyfriend hit me. He doesn't understand that this is just how Kie and I interact"

"Maybe try not being a jerk to her" Pope suggested

"It's part of his personality, he doesn't know how to not act like a huge dick" John B added

"Gotta have a big dick to act like one" I said laughing at my own joke which just caused my friends to roll their eyes

We were hanging at the Chateau all night. I saw on snapchat that Kie was at the after-after-party at Toppers with Lucas.

The next time I saw her was at work. We were working together and I didn't say much to her. There were customers all over the place and she followed me into the large freezer room where we were alone and she said, "Hey, I'm sorry that he hit you. I talked to him and told him it wasn't cool"

"It's whatever... I get it, you have your boyfriend to fight your battles for you now. I can't hit you, so don't be shocked when I get a girlfriend and send her after you"

"Whatever, I was trying to be nice and apologize but it's not even worth it" She said leaving the freezer and things were back to normal between us

We made snarky comments to each other all night. We finished closing and I went back to the office area to change into a different shirt as my work shirt was nasty and I had plans after work.

I always changed shirts in here and so did everyone else. It was no big deal. The door opened and Kie was there. I totally caught her looking at me but then at realized she wasn't looking at my abs, she saw the bruises from my fight with my dad last night. Luckily she played it off and didn't bring it up.

"Dude, next time lock the door. You could have been naked"

"Would have just been a bonus for you"

"Like I want to see you naked. I'd rather scoop my eyeballs out with a spoon than see you naked"

"Lucky for you don't ever have to worry about that" I said leaving the office
