JJ's POV:

I went to work and Mike showed up a few hours later. I know he had no idea what happened but I felt like he knew I was at his house last night, that I spent the night in his daughters bed, that I almost had sex with her. I brushed it off and got busy working.

"JJ, my office" Mike said

Shit. Did he know? Was I about to get fired? No, there is no way he knows what happened unless Kie told him and she never do that. I walked into his office and he just asked what happened as he could tell I got into a fight.

I didn't want to talk about it so I simply said, "I'm all good, hurts a bit but it won't affect my job"

"That's good to hear, but until the black eye heals you should stay in back and prepare orders and do dishes. so just don't want customers asking about it and talking"

"Yes, sir" I said heading to the back and I spent my whole shift back there

I was just getting off work when Sarah and Kie showed up to the Wreck. She didn't work today so they must be here getting food.

"Hey JJ" Sarah said

I gave Kie a look and said, "Hi Sarah"

I then looked at Kie and said, "Better hope your bestie can keep a secret. Wouldn't want Lucas finding out"

"Who says I told her?"

"Sarah Cameron has never once said hi to me"

Kie and Sarah looked at each other and then back at me. I liked Kie and I think she liked me. But I hated that she had a boyfriend.

"Look, nothing is happening between us because Kie is dating Lucas" I set things straight

"She's breaking up with him" Sarah blurted

"I'll believe it when I see it" I spoke as I walked away

There was no way that Kiara would break up with her perfect kook boyfriend to be with me. Whatever we had was just a heat of the moment, one time thing. I'd never be good enough to be with Kiara Carrera. Her dad hates the pogues around her, imagine if he found out what we've done. I still worry about the picture Danny has as blackmail over me.

Later that night, I was out fishing on the HMS alone when I saw Topper's boat. On that boat was Kie and Lucas and of course, Sarah too. I knew she wouldn't break up with him. She looked over at me as they passed by.

"Loser!" Topper called out to me

"Get that piece of shit out of the water. It belongs in the junkyard" Lucas referred to the HMS

I ignored all their comments. I knew it was too good to be true. Part of me wanted to destroy Lucas' and Kie's relationship. I wanted to tell him about the rain kiss and sleepover and almost having sex with his girlfriend and I almost did. But I guess I really just wanted those moments to stay private. Moments that only Kie and I knew about. Our moments.

The next day, Kie showed up to work and she didn't say anything to me. Shortly after she arrived, Lucas and Topper sat down at a table and ordered food. Lucas was being all flirty with Kie. He kept pulling her closer to him and wrapping his arms around her waist. I don't know why I was noticing or why I was letting it get to me.

One of the waitresses, Hannah, was working tonight. I've hooked up with her a few times before and she was flirting with me tonight. I flirted right back with her. It's not like I wanted to, but I just needed a distraction from Kie. I could help but watch her, not in like a creepy way. It's just like my eyes were magnets and they followed her.
