Kiara's POV:

I didn't mean to freak out when I saw them. It's just I didn't want to deal with them. I sat alone in the room and realized how stupid this was. I wanted to spend tonight with my boyfriend, not alone or in a fight.

I grabbed a blanket and headed up to the deck to find JJ. Just as I saw him laying in the chair and I stood there and said, "I'm sorry for freaking out earlier... It's just that Linda and Roger are here"

"Who the fuck is Linda and Roger?" He asked still confused

"Lucas' parents"

"And you're embarrassed to be seen with me because??"

"I'm not embarrassed to be seen with you. I just don't want to talk to them and get some fucking lecture about my life and hear about how it's my loss that I'm not with their son anyone"

"Their son as in your ex-boyfriend, Lucas?" He asked and I realized I never told him who they were

"Yeah" I said quietly

"Why do you care what they think?"

"I don't, I just don't want to deal with it or hear about it anymore from anyone"

"So are we just supposed to hide in our room the whole time to avoid them?"

"No, I didn't say that. I just didn't want..."

"Didn't want to be seen with me. I get it" He said clearly upset

"Kiara" Linda said

I turned around and there were my ex-boyfriends parents. Linda hugged me and said, "It's so good to see you, sweetie. How have you been?"

"I've been good, how have you been?"

"Oh amazing! We've been doing lots of college tours with Lucas. He's gotten accepted to some incredible schools. He's on track to graduate early which is impressive considering he's a pre-law major"

I really didn't care what Lucas was doing. He's my ex for a reason. I wanted to be polite so I replied and we made some more small talk. They didn't notice laying in the chair a few feet away.

"Where are your parents? I'd love to say hi" Linda smiled

"Yeah, I'd grab a beer with Mike" Roger added

"They aren't here actually"

"You're here alone? If I'd known, I would have had Lucas come and you two might be able to rekindle your relationship"

"I'm not alone. My boyfriend actually surprised me with this for my birthday and he's waiting for me, so I gotta go" I said walking a few feet back to the chair where JJ was

I knew Linda and Roger were watching so I put one leg over JJ so I was straddling him as I kissed him. He kissed me back, which I honestly didn't know if he would or not. Luckily, he did and he was the one who deepened it. We were making out and I heard Linda gasp. Once they walked away, I pulled away from JJ and said, "I'm sorry for earlier. She's such a bitch"

"It's okay, I wouldn't want to see her on my birthday wither"

JJ's POV:

We looked at the clear sky as we cuddled on the small chair we shared. Eventually, there was very little looking at the stars. My hands were softly touching her body and she was wearing the lingerie that I packed. It was actually the set Sarah got 'me' for my birthday. Honestly, she nailed the whole gift thing because seeing Kie in it was my favorite thing. We were making out and then we knew it was time to head to our room.

As we were walking to our room, holding hands, and stopping for kisses, we ran into Linda and Roger again.

"Kiara, you know that it isn't too late to fix things with Lucas. You two were so good together" Linda started

"I have a boyfriend.. A boyfriend who I love and I'd never go back to your son. He's an ass. Now excuse me, while I have go have sex with my boyfriend because unlike your son, JJ can actually get me to cum" She said grabbing my hand and walking away

I think my jaw literally might have hit the floor. There was no way that she just said that to Lucas' parents. That was so badass. Fuck, my girl is hot.

We got back to our room and Kie said, "She's such a bitch"

"Yeah and that was totally badass and so fucking hot" I said crashing my lips into hers

I broke away and said, "I still have to give you your birthday presents"

"Later... I just want you right now" She said taking her clothes off to reveal the gorgeous lingerie set

Kie and I had sex and she took this picture after and she was laying on my chest. You could tell she was shirtless but the white sheets covered her chest. The picture was hot. She went to post it on her story and I said, "You know everyone is going to know we fucked"

"Exactly" She said as she posted it

"So you aren't embarrassed to be with me?"

She looked at me and softly kissed my lips before saying, "I'd never be embarrassed to be with you. I love you so much. Thank you for best birthday ever"

"I love you too and you deserve the world" I replied

I reached over in the nightstand and handed her the gift. It was only one of them, my other surprise for her when we got home was that I was going to take her to get a tattoo. She's always wanted one and her parents never let her do it, so now that she's eighteen she doesn't need their permission.

"Jayge, it's beautiful" She said admiring the necklace

I put it on her and she smiled and kissed me.

"I've always wanted a boy to give me a necklace and put it on me"

"I'm glad that I got to be that boy" I said pulling her closer to me

We talked about us and a bunch of random things and right before we fell asleep. Tomorrow we were going snorkeling and I was super excited.
