Kie's POV:

Today was the day that I left for college. JJ and I stayed up super late last night just talking, making love, and savoring ever last moment together.

The next morning, we got up early and I said goodbye to all my friends. I was crying and so was Sarah. The goodbye was hard, but my goodbye with JJ was going to be even worse. We headed to the airport with all the luggage and we flew to California. This time, my parents sat across from us in coach, so there was no sneaking off to the bathroom together.

The whole flight, I either held JJ's hand or rested my head on his shoulder. We arrived in California and everyone helped with my bags. We got a rental car and went to the college where we got the keys to my dorm room. My dad and JJ were busy moving the furniture around while my mom helped me unpack my bags.

My roommate walked in and she smiled. She was tall and blonde, super pretty, and totally looked like the stereotypical California girl.

"Hi, I'm Emily" She smiled

"Kiara" I said

She looked right at JJ and she was totally checking him out. I quickly said, "And that's my boyfriend, JJ"

"Hi" She smirked at him

"Hey" JJ said realizing it was kinda awkward

Her parents were talking to my parents and then they started moving her stuff in. I went with my parents and JJ to the store. We got a bunch of things for my dorm including a mattress pad as the bed was rock hard, bedding, a tall lamp as our room was dark, a fridge and microwave, and some food.

We all went out for dinner and tomorrow my parents and JJ flew back home. This was my last night with my boyfriend for a while. My mom and dad had actually already given him a voucher to come see me. They said they'd give him one per semester. I really appreciated them being supportive of us.

We went back to my dorm and we continued to unpack and move furniture around. My mom had made my bed for me and I laid on it and she asked, "Is it better with the mattress pad?"

"A little, it's still as hard as a rock" I said laying on the bed

"You just need to break it in" My dad referring to the mattress pad

"I can help with that" JJ said out loud and his face turned red realizing what he just said in front of my parents, my roommate, and my roommates parents

I was trying so hard not to start laughing. Everyone looked at JJ and my roommate said, "Maybe you can help break mine in too"

"What the fuck?" I asked looking at my roommate as I got off my bed and walked over to JJ

I grabbed his arm and pulled him out of my dorm room and into the hall. I pushed him up against the wall and impulsively kissed him. We were making out and we quickly broke apart when we heard footsteps.

My mom came out and asked, "Everything okay?"

"All good" I said as we went back in to finish the last few tasks

We left my dorm and my parents went back to the hotel and I was alone with JJ. We walked about a mile to the beach where we held hands and walked up and down the sand. He held my hand and said, "I think your roommate was checking me out when she walked in"

"Oh, she totally was" I laughed

"That's so freaking weird... She was trying to flirt with me in front of everyone"

"I hope she gets better and is actually a decent roommate"

"No old will ever be as good as me" He smirked
