Kie's POV:

I was at the Wreck for the meeting with all the employees for a meeting. I had no clue what it was about. My dad announced that this weekend he was going on a business trip for work. It was in Richmond, Virginia for some event we were part of. We were giving out samples and he just had to be there to give a short speech and hand out business cards.

He said that would need help and was planning on taking Danny (one of the cooks), me, and JJ. The two boys were pretty stoked about going on a road trip for the day.

It was Saturday morning and we were up super early to get ready to head out of town. My dad woke up super sick and he never got sick. He asked me to cover for him and give a speech. I didn't want to and I tried to argue that I didn't want to be stuck with two pogues for the whole day but he said he's pay me. I agreed and when I was the one to meet the boys they were both surprised.

I explained the situation and they tossed their stuff in my dads truck. JJ hopped up front and he demanded he controlled the music. Danny had his headphones in the whole way and JJ was purposely the most annoying songs like 'Baby Shark' over and over.

"I swear, it you don't stop playing shit like this I will pull over and make you walk" I threatened

"I could throw your phone out the window" He said cracking the window and I reached over to grab my phone and slightly swerved

"Pay attention to the road" Danny yelled at me

"Yeah, pay attention" JJ echoed

He was such a child and I was so annoyed. The drive was three and a half hours and when we arrived there we went right to the event and got everything set up. Danny got all samples ready and JJ didn't do much which I expected. I went to the bathroom to fix my makeup and hair as I was now giving my dad's speech.

I was super nervous as I hated public speaking. I was in the bathroom getting ready and practicing the speech. I went back out to the guys and then I went up on stage. The speech went perfectly and then everyone just hung out and they had food there so we ate before we loaded up my dads truck to get back on the road.

JJ's POV:

Kie was driving and we've only been driving for about an hour but there was this massive storm. They closed to road due to dangerous driving conditions. She pulled off the freeway and called her dad. Her dad told her to just get a hotel for the night. He said to get two rooms so Kiara would have her own room.

We stopped at some hotel close by and the guy at the front desk said they only had one room when Kie asked for two. She handed over her credit card and we dropped Danny off in the room and we were driving to grab food quick as we were both starving. It was just across the street so it wasn't dangerous to drive. Kie made me run in as she didn't want to get wet from the rain.

Danny didn't want food so Kie and I just sat out in her dads truck together parked outside the hotel. It was a fast food restaurant so we both just got chicken fingers and fries. We had our food between us and I went to put ketchup in the corner of my box for my fries. I got a little on my finger and I thought it was the perfect opportunity to smear it on Kie's face. I was successful and she said, "Fuck off, I was nice enough to buy you food"

She wiped the ketchup off her face and smeared it on my arm. I wiped it off with a napkin and said, "Okay, truce no more ketchup battles"

"Deal" She said as we continued eating without really talking much

When we got back, we opened the door and Danny had passed out in the chair for the night. I then realized there was only one bed. This was going go suck because this meant I was sleeping in the floor.

Kie went into the bathroom and took her makeup off and while she was in there, I grabbed a pillow and the weird little blanket at the bottom of the bed and tossed them onto the floor.

I know Kie's in a dress and it doesn't look comfortable to sleep in. I knocked on the bathroom door and she opened it and I simply said, "I know this might seem weird but your dress doesn't exactly seem comfortable to sleep in. If you want, you can wear my t-shirt but I know that's probably really gross for you considering that I've worn it all day. Sorry, stupid of me to bring it up" 

I realized that was such a stupid offer and she probably thought it was weird that I was offering her my nasty shirt.

"Actually, if you don't mind, I'd appreciate that"

I took my shirt off and handed it to her and I went and laid in my makeshift bed. She came out of the bathroom a few minutes later wearing my t-shirt as a dress. She saw me laying on the floor and she crawled into the bed.

"J, if you want you can sleep on the bed with me" She offered which shocked me

"You sure? Don't think your dad, boyfriend, or even you would like that?"

"You let me borrow your shirt so I can let you sleep in the bed"

I got into bed with her and we both rolled over so we weren't facing each other and she said, "Keep your ass on your side of the bed"

She put her feet on my back and pushed me to the far edge. I didn't mind because it beats the floor. However, she had all the covers and so I pulled them my way and she yanked the back. Finally, they were somewhere in the middle and I fell asleep.

I woke up the next morning and Kie was right next to me. The bed kinda sagged in the middle and we were both in the middle. Kie was facing me and she just was laying perfectly against my chest. She opened her eyes and we made intense eye contact. Her alarm went off and she quickly rolled over to turn it off and then she got out of bed.

She walked into the bathroom and when she came back out, she was in her dress. She handed me my shirt back and went to wake Danny up. Kie said she would be waiting in the truck.

Danny and I got up and met Kie outside and in the truck. She told Danny to sit up front. I was stuck in the backseat. Kie was back to being a total bitch to me. I just looked out the window. My shirt smelled like her hair and I'll admit, she smelt so freaking good.
