Kie's POV:
It's been a few days since my dad walked into the Chateau. I've barely spoken to JJ. My dad came into my room and said, "Kiara, I think it might be best if you take a break from the boy"
"I'm not breaking up with JJ just because you don't like us sleeping together. His birthday is in two days and I'm going to the Chateau to see him and our friends"
"No, you aren't.... There won't be adult supervision there"
"Yeah, actually there will be. JJ's turning eighteen which makes him an adult"
"Don't be a smartass with me. That boy might legally be an adult but he's still a child" He said leaving my room
Today was JJ's eighteen birthday. I texted him early before school because the kook academy started earlier than the public high school.
Kie: Happy 18th birthday, babe! I love you and can't wait to celebrate ❤️
JJ: Thank you! I can't wait either. School is gonna suck ass today
I didn't respond as I had to finish getting ready. I didn't drive to school either, I went to the Chateau and walked inside, and saw JJ still lying on the pullout couch. I jumped into his bed and kissed him and said, "Happy birthday"
"What are you doing here? You have school"
"Yeah, except that I'm sick today and not going. I came to check on you and you look sick. Better call the school and tell them you're sick"
"Are you actually skipping school?" He asked me as I never skipped
"Yeah, it's your birthday and I want to spend the whole day with you... If you'll let me"
"Of course... But since it is my birthday, we're going back to bed until at least 9 am"
"Okay" I said curling up beside him and falling asleep
I woke up and made him pancakes in the shape of numbers one and eight. He woke up to breakfast in bed and after we ate, he kissed me and said, "We're finally alone"
"Finally" I said melting into the kiss
He kissed me so passionately and I felt so loved by him. We were making out when my phone started ringing. It didn't stop and we broke apart and it was my mom.
Mom: I just got a call from the school saying you weren't there for attendance. I know you're with JJ and that it's his birthday. I won't tell your dad. Please don't make me regret this but I booked a reservation at that fancy seafood place on the mainland and a hotel for the night... Tell JJ happy birthday from me. Have a great night! Love you guys
She also sent me the hotel information. I was shocked and I showed JJ the text. His eyebrows went up like he was surprised.
"She got us a hotel room? She does know what that will lead to, right?"
I laughed and said, "She totally knows"
"Wait, she also said love you guys..."
"Yeah, she did..." I smiled at JJ as we both knew that my mom accepted our relationship and she thought of JJ as a son
He kissed me again and then I said, "Come on, let's go surfing"
We got up and got our swimsuits and we hit some amazing waves. We spent the day doing all his favorite things. We went to the Chateau after our friends got out of school and we sang happy birthday and had cake. Everyone then gave JJ their presents.
John B and Pope got him fishing stuff and a t-shirt. I got JJ a few things and when he opened Sarah's gift, he started laughing. Everyone looked at him and Sarah said, "I mean technically, it's for Kie but you'll enjoy it way more"
JJ pulled the gift out of box and it was a lingerie set. I'll admit, it was actually super hot. John B and Pope both laughed and JJ's face was bright red.
"Thanks for that, Sarah" JJ said laughing
JJ opened all the card and they all had cute messages. JJ was reading mine and he was blinking back tears

Happy 18th birthday! You are the most caring, hard-working, determined, smart, funny, loyal person I know. I could go on and on about all the things that I love about you, but I don't think you want to read a book about yourself right now.
I'm so lucky that you were born eighteen years ago. You are my favorite person. You're my best friend, my boyfriend, my lover, and my soulmate. You're my forever. I look into your beautiful ocean blue eyes and I see our whole future in them.
I love you more than you will ever know. You are the best boyfriend and my favorite person in the whole world.

He got up and he kissed me and said, "Thank you, Kie"
"You're welcome, time to get ready for dinner! I'm going to shower quick"
"Can I join you?"
"Only because it's your birthday" I laughed
We went and took a shower together before we go ready. I was doing my hair and make-up and put on a pretty dress. JJ even wore a suit and the Sarah took a picture of us. We both had our overnight bags packed. JJ drove my jeep to the mainland to the seafood resturant where we had an amazing meal. My mom must have paid because the waiter said it was taken care of. JJ and I went and checked into the hotel and went to our room.
JJ's POV:
It was super fancy with a king bed, a private jacuzzi, and a bottle of champage. I picked Kie up and kissed her. We were making out and I took her dress off which left her in Sarah's little gift.
"You know today has consisted of all my favorite things... Now, the only thing left is to spend the rest of my night with my girlfriend" I said as Kie and I had the best sex
It was long overdue and we were both so relaxed and in the moment. It was just us, JJ and Kie. She laid down on my chest and I wrapped my arms around her.
"Thank you for making this the best birthday. Your card and what you said almost made me cry" I said as I explained why and more about my dad and how we never celebrated my birthday
"I'm sorry, Jayge... But I promise you, we'll celebrate your birthday every single year. It's my new favorite holiday because it's the day my soulmate was born"
"I love you, so much Kiara"
"I love you too, JJ Maybank and happy birthday" She said right before the clock struck midnight
