JJ's POV:

I walked inside to my dad and he was thankfully passed out on the couch. I went into my room and laid down in my bed. I hope Kie isn't too pissed at me for the whole marriage and pregnancy lie.

When the guy made the stupid comment saying that Kie was showing, I wanted to grab him and punch him. I obviously couldn't and he had to of just been trying to be nice because there was no way Kie looked pregnant.

I'm just glad that Mike wasn't too mad at me. Although, he did piss me off when he said that Kie belong with Lucas. How can he now see how Lucas is a total dick to her.

I got up and went to the fridge to grab a beer. I needed something to help get rid of this uneasy feeling. I felt my stomach drop when I realized earlier that Kie was giving Lucas head. I don't know why it bothered me so much.

I was drinking a beer and my dad woke up and asked, "JJ, that you?"

"Yeah, it's me, dad"

"What are you doing drinking my beer? I worked hard to pay for that shit. You're a thief"

"Not like you don't eat the shit I buy"

"What did you say to me boy?"

"Nothing" I said turning and going back into my room

I saw Kie at work two days later and when it wasn't busy, I went up to her and said, "Hey, I'm sorry about the whole pretending to be married and pregnant thing"

She looked at me and said, "It wasn't that big of deal. I was being a little dramatic. That guy was even bigger asshole than you"

"Ha very funny"

"It's true, even you can't deny it"

"I will say that's one thing I can't deny" I admitted

"Deny deny deny, famous philosophy from JJ Maybank" She quoted me which made me smile

"You should my other philosophies and quotes"

"I'm good" She laughed getting back to work

After work, I headed to the Chateau and John B was waiting. I haven't send him since our little adventure with Kie and Lucas.

"So, how's the wife and baby?" He asked laughing

"Shut up"

"What did Mike say to you?"

"Nothing really about the whole investor guy. He mainly just asked if there was something going on between me and Kie"

"And what did you tell him? That you get yourself off thinking about her"

"Do not" I defended myself

"Uhh Kie.. Fuck... Kie" John B said like he was moaning which for the record, I have never done

He was laughing so hard that he couldn't talk. I looked at him and said, "Stop. She's dating Lucas and her dad hates me. It will never work anyway so I'm over it"

"Yeah, you're sooooo over Kie that you practically flirted with her in front of her boyfriend"

"That was not flirting. That was her being an annoying bitch and me not taking her crap"

"Whatever you say"

"I hate you" I said lighting up the joint in my hands

I sat out in the hammock smoking a joint thinking about Kie. I didn't even know how to act around her anymore. It's hard having a crush on someone you shouldn't. I scrolled through the contacts in my phone looking at all the girls. I was going to hit one of them up to hook up to try and get my mind off her but decided it probably wasn't a good idea.
