Kie's POV:

My dad and JJ just left to go to the Wreck, Apparently, my dad hadn't done the last minute hurricane prep. My mom looked at me and I said, "I hope he's being nice to JJ"

"I'm sure he is, I talked to him before he left. I'm glad JJ is here. Hopefully your dad can get to know him better"

My mom and I sat on the couch and talked while we watched the weather for updates about the hurricane. My mom looked at me and said, "And please, follow your dads rules. I know they seem like a lot but he will kick JJ out if you guys break any of them"

"We will, I just don't understand why he cares if we sleep in the same bed"

"You know why"

"He's worried that we're going to have sex? It's not like we haven't done that before but we wouldn't do that with you and dad literally in the room right next to us. You and dad sleep next to each other every night and it's not a big. Why is it such a big deal for us?"

"I don't know, ask you father. It wouldn't bother me if you slept in the same bed but your dad doesn't think it's a good idea. I don't want JJ to get kicked out so please just follow his rules and maybe the next time JJ stays over, he'll be more comfortable with him being here and let you stay in the same room"

"Okay" I agreed

An hour later, my dad and JJ came back from the Wreck. They were both alive so that was a good sign. I'm glad they didn't kill each other.

"How'd it go?" My mom asked

"Good, we got everything ready incase of a flood and got the windows boarded up" Mike replied

JJ and I played Mario Kart while my mom made lunch for all of us. We were laughing and having fun and then my mom told us that lunch was ready. We all went to the kitchen and ate together. My dad was pretty quiet, but the conversation was good.

We played a few games with my parents and then it was late. JJ went up to bed and he hugged me in the hallway and whispered in my ear, "Goodnight, I love you"

"Love you too, sleep good"

I went into my room and he went into the guest room. I hated that he wasn't in bed with me, but I'm glad he was in the same house as me. I fell asleep and the next morning, I woke up to huge gusts of wind and the heavy rain. I got up and went downstairs.

My dad was already awake and he said, "Good morning, I made you eggs and a smoothie"

"Thanks" I said grabbing the glass

JJ came downstairs a few minutes later and to my surprise, my dad made him breakfast too. We sat on the stools at the kitchen island and ate together. Today was supposed to be the worst day of the hurricane.

"What are your plans today?" My dad asked me and JJ

"Oh, we were thinking about going surfing and then going to make out in bedroom" I answered sarcastically and I saw JJ's face then red

"Very funny... Just stay out of trouble and do not leave this house"

"We won't..." JJ promised

"I'm going to shower, behave" Mike said leaving the kitchen

JJ's POV:

Today was actually super fun. Anna decided to make this fancy meal and everything was homemade. Kie and I were in the kitchen helping her. When we finally sat down to eat, it was incredible.

"Wow, this is amazing" I said

"The recipe has been in my family for generations. It's rare that I make it as it takes so long but it went a lot faster with my two helpers"

My mom and JJ were both super talkative. It was nice seeing them get along. My mom and dad started a puzzle after dinner and JJ and I made cookies. He whispered in my ear, "We could put weed in them and get your dad high"

I laughed, "As tempting as that sounds... No.."

We put the cookies in the oven and I forced JJ to play just dance with me on the wii. We were both sweating by the time the cookies were done. It wasn't long after that we lost power. Kie moved close to me and and I held her hand as she turned the flashlight on that was on her phone.

"Don't worry, the backup generators should kick on soon"

We sat in the couch and I braided Kie's hair. She laid down and her head was resting on my thigh. I lightly rubbed her back and she fell asleep. Mike and Anna were heading to bed when they saw Kie was asleep on me.

Mike looked at me and said, "You should wake her up and head to bed"

I picked Kie up bridal style and I carried her up the stairs to her room. I laid her in bed and tucked her in. I kissed her forehead and whispered, "Goodnight, my love"

I left the room and closed the door. Mike was watching to make sure I went into the guest room and didn't stay in Kie's room. I went and laid in bed and the storm was crazy. It felt like the wind was going to blow the house away. Suddenly, my bedroom door opened and Kie came and and laid in bed with me. I pulled her into my arms and she whispered, "I'm scared"

"You're safe here, I won't let anything happen" so whispered

Sh fell asleep in my arms and woke up the next day to power. It was crazy, the sun was shining and it was like the hurricane never happened on Figure Eight. I'm sure the story was different on the cut. I carried Kie back to her bed and then air went back to the guest room before her parents got up. I couldn't fall back asleep and an hour passed and I finally went downstairs. Anna was up and I just sat on the couch watching the news showing all the hurricane damage.

Kie came downstairs and she looked half asleep. Her hair was a messy and she was wrapped in a blanket. Anna walked over and hugged her daughter.

"I don't feel good" Kie said

"What's wrong?" Anna asked

"I don't know but I woke up earlier and threw up" Kie said

I walked over to her and I wrapped my arms around her. I felt so bad that she was sick. She was crying and she said, "You should stay away from me, I don't want to get you sick"

"You won't get me sick, I'll be okay" I reassured her

She went and sat on the couch and she laid down with her head on my lap. She laid there and fell asleep. She slept for almost three hours. Anna asked if I needed anything as I really couldn't move.

"You don't have to take care of her if you don't want. The hurricane is over, you can go. I don't want you to feel forced to be here, but if you want to stay you're more than welcome"

"I'll stay and take care of her, if you don't mind... She always takes care of me, I owe her"

"Let me know if you need anything and I'd be happy to get it for you" Anna said heading back into the kitchen

Kie shot up a few minutes later and she ran into the bathroom. I followed her and held her hair back as she threw up. I went and got her mouthwash from her bathroom upstairs and gave it to her. She went back to the couch and took another nap. Mike headed to the Wreck to see if there was any damage.

Anna was heading out to go help Mike. She made me a sandwich for lunch before she left. I thanked her and told me to text her if we needed anything.

Kie asked, "Can you make your homemade soup tonight?"

"Yeah, I'll see if I have the ingredients. Hey, I have a question for you.. Is there a chance that you're pregnant?"

"No, I had my period last week... I'm pretty sure it's because I ate way too much cookie dough last night and it had raw eggs in it"

"That makes sense, just wanted to make sure" Anna said leaving

"I'm not pregnant... I'll take a test if you really need me to"

"It might be a good idea just to make sure"

Anna left and came back a few minutes later and handed Kie a box. She went into the bathroom and when she came back out she had a timer on her phone. The three of us sat there waiting and the timer went off and Kie looked at the test and she didn't say anything. She looked up at me and then at her mom. My heart was racing.
