Kie's POV:

I remember nothing from last night but JJ told me about a picture Danny had and I was freaking out. No one could ever see that picture, not my parents, not Lucas, no one. It's already embarrassing enough that JJ saw it.

I got home and took a shower and then took a long nap. I felt much better when I woke up. I saw I had a bunch of texts from my friends. I texted Lucas and asked if he wanted to hang out tonight but he said he was busy. I knew that was a lie.

I drove to his house and just like I guessed, he was mad at me. I asked what was going on and he said, "I don't know, why don't you tell me me. What's going on with you and JJ?"

"Nothing, there is nothing going on between me and JJ. Why would you think that?"

"Because last night when Danny was around, he was the one who practically attacked him to get him away from you"

"He did?" I asked not remembering anything

Lucas told me what happened and I couldn't believe that JJ would do that for me. But it makes sense how JJ found out about the picture.

"Then Danny mentioned something about you and JJ sharing a bed. Is that true?"

"No, I got the bed, Danny was in the chair, and JJ slept on the floor. Danny's probably just pissed because my dad fired him" I tried to deescalate the situation

"Okay, I believe you. But I need you to promise me one thing, you need to stay away from JJ"

How do I promise to do that? Whether I like it or not, JJ just pops up. I could be in the middle of a Kook only event and somehow he's there. He's always there. Plus, we work together and I can't quit. I've tried multiple times and my parents never accept my resignation.

"Look, I can't avoid him completely because he works at the Wreck. But I promise that I'll avoid him everywhere else"

Lucas leaned in and kissed me and said, "Thank you, babe"

"Of course" I said turning our kiss into a hug

Lucas and I spent the rest of the day together. I'm glad we worked things out and it was a simple fix. I just had to avoid JJ which is something I've been trying to do since fifth grade.

Ever since the whole Danny situation, my dad hasn't really scheduled me to work with JJ which definitely helped. However, tonight I was at the grocery store and I saw and I was with Lucas, he was just in the next aisle.

JJ walked up to me and said, "Hey, what are you doing here?"

"What does it look like?" I asked back rudely

"Damn, you're acting like a bitch today"

Lucas heard JJ and he came back over to me and JJ said, "Well, peace out"

Lucas looked at me and I said, "See, I told you he just shows up in the most random places"

We finished getting a few snacks for our date tonight and JJ came back over to us. He handed Lucas a box of condoms and said, "Specifically, for you. Y'all have a good night"

Lucas' face turned bright red and he looked pissed. I saw the box that JJ grabbed and it was the box for size extra small. I was fighting so hard not to break out laughing because it's hilarious.

Lucas threw the box at JJ and said, "I think you meant to get those for yourself"

"Nahh, we all know those are way too small for me. Just ask all the girls on the island and they'll tell you. I'm more of a magnum kind of guy" JJ chuckled as he walked away

"That's fucking asshole" Lucas said pissed off

JJ's POV:

I walked away from Lucas and Kie laughing. He was so pissed and I could tell she was trying hard not to laugh. I went home and the next day, Kie showed up to the Chateau. Weird.

"JJ" She said with no emotion

"Hey, how was your date last night?"

"Shut up, you need to stop. Leave me the hell alone. You haven't left me alone since I met you in fifth grade. You constantly follow me everywhere and feel the need to be involved in everything and I hate it. It's suffocating and it's ruining my relationship with Lucas"

"It is not my fault that he's so insecure that he feels threatened by me, a fucking pogue"

"Just fuck off, JJ!" She screamed at me before she got in her jeep and left

"Damn, mommas mad" John B said as she pulled away

"What did you do?" Pope asked

I told them about what happened at the store and they both couldn't control their laughter. I stopped talking to Kie, when we would talk, we'd fight. She stopped working shifts with me at the Wreck.

However, Lucas and Topper have been coming in lately and making my life a living hell. They'd spill their drinks on me, send food back to the kitchen over and over again, they wouldn't pay their bill and I'd get blamed for them leave. So there were a few times I had to cover their bill with my own money just so Mike wouldn't find out.

It's been about three weeks since Kie showed up and freaked out. I was at the Chateau with John B and Pope having a fire.

"You seem different lately, everything okay?" Pope asked

"Can you guys keep a secret?" I asked needing to get this off my chest and they both said yes and I trusted them. They were like brothers to me.

"I think I'm falling for Kie"

John B started laughing and so did Pope.

"You just figured that out?"

"Yeah, well I mean I guess I kinda felt it months ago but lately it's consuming me"

"Dude, you've liked her since we were in fifth grade. It's been obvious" Pope stated

Apparently, it's obvious to everyone except for me. Because I had no idea that I liked her and I wonder if she knows that I like her.

"Do you think she knows?"

"Hell no, I mean maybe deep down she thinks about it but doesn't actually believe it" John B spoke

Then Pope cut in, "Even Lucas can see it. It's why he hates you so much"

We spent the rest of the night talking about this shit because apparently I'm an idiot and totally oblivious. When asked what I was going to do about my crush on Kie, I answered honestly. There was nothing I could do. I was going to forget about her and move on.

I've gotten over plenty of girls before. How hard can it be?
