Kie's POV:

We arrived at the party and Gavin found us quickly. He smiled and said, "I'm so glad you made it, follow me"

We followed Gavin through the crowd and we made a stop at the keg and each got a cup of beer. We were now inside and there was this girl smiling at us. She introduced herself as Olivia, Gavin's girlfriend. We got talking and she was super nice. We hung out with her and Gavin almost all night. I only had two beers over many hours as I didn't want to get drunk.

I was in a new place with new people and not to be a girl who depends on her boyfriend, but I didn't have JJ here looking out for me. I missed JJ so much. I excused myself and went to the bathroom where I called JJ. He picked up right away. It was hard to hear as the music was blaring in the background.

"Are you okay?" Was his first question

"I'm fine, I just miss you"

"Where are you?"

"A frat party"

"Are you drunk?"

"No, why do you sound mad?"

"I'm not mad. I'm just making sure you aren't drunk and that you're okay. I worry about you being so far away"

"I've had a total of two beers and it's been almost four hours. I'm pretty much sober and I'm in the bathroom at a frat party on the phone with you... Trust me, there are many other things I could be doing at the party right now and all I want is to talk to you" I reassured him thinking about all that was going on outside this door

People were drinking, smoking weed, having sex, dancing, laughing, playing games, and having fun. But I sat on the counter of the sink, talking to my boyfriend on the other side of the country

"You can go have fun, just don't go find a new boyfriend"

"Wouldn't even think of it... I wish you were here right now. This party sucks without you here"

"Me too, I'd give anything to hug you and see how beautiful you look"

"I'm getting you an iPhone so we can facetime"

"I don't have money for that"

"I'll buy it"

"Not letting that happen...." He said firmly as he always felt guilty when I bought him expensive things

We were quiet for a minute and then someone was banging on the door and I told JJ that I had to go. Everyone here was drunk and having fun. I found Emily and told her that I wasn't feeling good and that I was going to head back to our dorm.

I walked back alone and it probably wasn't the safest thing to do, but I did it anyway. I got back to my room and I called JJ back and told him I was back at my dorm.

"I'm glad you made it safe and I hope you didn't leave because of me"

"I mean, I did leave because of you but I wanted to leave so I could talk to you"

"Are you sure? Because you can go back if you want to"

"JJ, I don't care about the party. I'd rather talk to you. Tell me anything"

"I went surfing this morning"

"How were the waves?"

JJ and I started talking about everything and nothing at the same time. It had been almost an hour of us talking when I said, "I want you so bad. I wish you were here"

"You can't say things like that when you're all the way across the country" JJ said

"Actually, we can try something if you want?"

"Try what?"

"Close your eyes and listen to me" He said softly

"Imagine me kissing you and my hands running down your body..."

JJ was talking me through everything and we were having phone sex. I never in a million years thought I would be the girl to have phone sex with her boyfriend but here we are. I went to the dorm showers and got ready for bed. JJ and I fell asleep talking to each other.

JJ's POV:

I've been trying to hide it but I've been really struggling without Kiara. Anna has been amazing and she's always dropping food off and checking in. I don't know if Kie told her to do that or if she was just doing it on her own.

Kie had a few days off in October and I used that plane voucher to book a trip to visit my girl. I decided to surprise her for a long weekend trip.

I told Anna and she volunteered to take me to the airport. She was very excited for me to go visit Kie. She missed her daughter like crazy too. It was something we had in common.

The morning came when Anna dropped me off at the airport. She hugged me goodbye and off I went to California. A long plane ride later and an Uber to her college, I was waiting outside of the building she was in.

I was so excited to surprise her. I knew her class got done at three. People started coming out and I saw her with this blonde guy. I'm pretty sure it was Gavin. She looked at me and saw me. She ran into my arms and I picked her up and spun her around. She was crying and I just held her in my arms and she said, "I'm so happy you're here"

She introduced me to Gavin and he shook my hand. He seemed pretty cool and I can see why Kie would be friends with him.

"So did you still wanna go study?" Gavin asked

"No, I'm going to hang out with my boyfriend" She said holding onto my arm

We walked back to her dorm room and we were making out in the hallway, but when we opened the door, her roommate was there.

"Hey, Kiara... And JJ, you're here"

"Yeah, he is and if you could not be here for like an hour, that would be amazing" Kie said to her roommate as she kissed me

Kie didn't seem to care that she was still in the room. We were making out and her roommate left and we got into her bed and had sex. The sex we've both been craving since school started.

We laid in her small bed and I held her in my arms. I kissed her head and said, "I love you so much"

"I love you more"

"Not possible"

"Totally possible" She said kissing my lips

"We should probably get dressed before your roommate comes back"

"Five more minutes" Kie whispered and I agreed and after that we got dressed and then we left the room and went for a walk on the beach and to grab some food
