There was just something so gratifying about being the one to pick out the groceries that would be used for making dinner when Juliette was making it with Esme, it just felt so personal, similar to a sign of love... Except for today when she'd rushed through the store so that she could get to Esme as quickly as possible after working on her stupid project with Tate all afternoon... She'd been a terrible help, she'd been too busy thinking about Esme's smile and how it lit up a whole room, or the softness of her lips. Whatever, they still had time.

Now she was where she wanted to be, knocking on Esme's front door. She heard shuffling inside and straightened out her skirt before Esme pulled open the door, stealing her breath away with a single glance. She'd changed into low hanging sweatpants and a tank top and her hair was a mess... Her eyes were sleepy and her hair was messy... She must've been taking a nap... God, she looked so fucking good...

There was nothing better than getting Esme right when she woke up, there was just something so incredibly hot about her, maybe it was the complete look of relaxation, the lack of filter, whatever it was, she loved it.

"Hi-." She didn't even get the full sentence out before Esme was gripping her around her waist and pulling her in for a dizzying kiss, like they hadn't seen each other in months... and she didn't mind the dramatics, not when they got her this kind of a result.

"God, look at you... You're just so pretty..." Esme sighed, and Juliette blinked, trying to come back into herself... What was she supposed to say? God, she couldn't remember, she just wanted Esme to kiss her like that again.

"So are you." She said, leaning in to kiss her again, letting Esme pull her fully inside as she did.

"How was Tate's rugby game? I'm sorry I couldn't come with you, I got called in and I couldn't pass up the shift." Esme said, and Juliette nodded, kicking the door shut behind her. It'd been alright, she'd brought Shelby instead and they'd had a pretty good time... Most of it had just been Shelby asking about the rules because she'd never seen anyone play, but it'd been a good match.

"It's okay. He did a really great job, they won." She said, and Esme smiled at that, nodding.

"That's awesome... I do wanna come to one, rugby seems really cool and I bet he's good. He's built for it." God, wasn't that the truth. It was insane, he was easily the biggest guy on the field and he'd absolutely destroyed his competition... Honestly, it'd been scarily easy for him, from the looks of it.

"Oh, he's awesome at it... Seriously, no one on that field could match him, it was intense." Esme's nod was less enthusiastic this time as she turned slightly away from Juliette, resting her hands on the counter.

"Mmm..." Ah, she knew that tone. Esme had gotten something in her head that she was trying not to verbalize.

"What?" She asked, and Esme sucked some air between her teeth before she shrugged... What was wrong?

"You seem to like being around him, I don't know." Esme murmured, and Juliette rolled her eyes, sighing as she gripped Esme by the front of her shirt, pulling her closer. She stumbled a bit, one of her hands coming around to grip the small of Juliette's back so she didn't fall.

"Yeah, I like making new friends." She pressed up a bit on her toes, kissing her deeply... God, she'd missed the feeling of that, kissing Esme was utterly intoxicating. "Don't worry, I'm not in the market for anything else right now. I'm perfectly content with what I've got." She murmured, and Esme's eyes softened at this as her smile grew... God, she was so cute that it made Juliette's chest ache.
