Honestly? Hollingsworth was fucking crushing it, and Shelby alone could be winning this goddamn game... But Juliette had no brain power for it, which was a real shame... She wanted to be up on her feet and cheering, but she couldn't be.
Not when there was a little bitch boy in their midst.
"You know, for how nervous she is, she's playing a remarkable game." Micheal mumbled, and Juliette nodded, sighing as she looked over at him... She knew that it was gonna take a lot for either of them to pretend like they were paying attention to the game, they were too busy trying to figure out where the fuck Isaiah was hiding.
"Right?" Emma added, and Juliette cleared her throat... She knew why that was the case, it was something that Shelby always did when she wanted to get her mind off of her real life. She threw herself into her activities. It was part of why she was such a 'well rounded student'.
"I think it has to do with her not wanting to think... That's why she likes things like that, they help her not think sometimes." She explained, and beside her, Esme let out a snort and cleared their throat.
"Better than what I used to do." Wha-. Oh. Oh. Drugs. Right.
Carly cleared her throat, leaning out a bit to speak to Esme.
"Esme, no offense..." She didn't need to finish, Esme finished it for her.
"Everything is better than what I used to do?" They guessed, and Carly cleared her throat, looking sheepish as she nodded, like she felt bad for saying it... But it was clear that Esme didn't mind, not really... They were more comfortable with it now, and if they hadn't been, Juliette would've already taken Carly's head off her goddamn shoulders.
"Exactly."
"Fair point." There was a large smack from the court and Juliette looked over to see Shelby on her back as a Franstend girl got called on uh... Something. Foul? Probably... She'd played basketball and she still couldn't remember...
"Shit... That had to hurt." Juliette muttered, watching as Shelby's teammate helped her to her feet... and she went back to playing. Strong.
"Fucking Bianca... I hate that bitch." Emma muttered, and Juliette nodded... She didn't know this Bianca person, but she was pretty sure that from the action that she had just witnessed, she hated her just as much as Emma did.
Plus, Emma seemed to have good judgment about that.
"Me too." Who the fuck? She turned around to see Ophelia and couldn't help the startled noise that came out of her mouth. She'd genuinely forgotten about them for a minute.
"Ah!" Juliette gasped, which seemed to startle Ophelia as well... Fucking Christ...
"Sorry... We've... Been here the whole time?" Ophelia said, furrowing her brows with a confused sort of smile as she chuckled, seeming not offended, mostly just confused as to how she could've forgotten...
But Juliette had forgotten worse things, honestly... This wasn't even in the top ten.
"I forgot." Juliette admitted, and Ophelia and Wess both let out good natured laughs even as Honey glared at her... Okay, so maybe that glare is a bit extreme for the situation there, killer.
"That's a little funny, honestly." Ophelia said, but she was run right over by Honey.
"Don't be mean." She said, and Juliette raised her hands in surrender as Ophelia cleared her throat, getting Honey's attention.
Good.
"She's not being mean, I promise. She's nice to me... Meaning she's nice to you." Ophelia said, cupping Honey's cheek before she leaned in and kissed her. Juliette grimaced at the way that Honey followed her lips even when they pulled apart... Ew... I do the same thing, but ew... "But it's sweet that you care so much." She said, and Juliette cleared her throat. Disgusting.
