Not since Mrs. Norris's sophomore year English final had there been a bigger waste of Juliette's time... She didn't think that anything could possibly top that, but apparently a last-minute rehearsal where no one actually knew what was going on could... It'd been a total mess, but that was no one's fault really, people just didn't know what they were doing yet.

Juliette felt Becky slide in next to her as she exited the theater and she sighed, looking over at her. Becky would understand, surely, she would.

"That rehearsal was a fucking waste of time; I literally would've rather gone to cheerleading practice." Juliette sighed, seeing a startled expression on Becky's face as she gripped her shoulders to stop her from walking, pressing her wrist to her forehead with a concerned expression before Juliette dodged away from her touch.

Why are you doing that? I'm fine. Don't be fucking weird.

"Are you... Did you get fucking body snatched when I wasn't looking? I've literally never heard you say that you would rather be at a cheerleading practice." She said, and Juliette rolled her eyes as she shoved Becky lightly, seeing a smile spread across her face.

There were ways that she could smile without having a joke at her expense, she wasn't quite sure if Becky had realized that yet, but she was more than happy to help her figure it out, because bullying her was such a choice that she just did not have to be making right now.

"Well, people can say things that are out of character when they are being forced to sit there for two hours listening to people struggle through the first half of that play." She shook her head, linking her arm with Becky's as they continued down the hallway away from the theater. She heard her let out a chuckle, shaking her head. What? What did I say? "It wasn't that hard." That earned her a look, one that she wasn't sure of...

What had she done to earn that? She was sure that she knew what it was, or that she would once Becky said it out loud, but she was going to have to not be cryptic in order for her to catch it because she was not someone who caught on easily, that was well known.

Common sense was not her strong suit and she was pretty sure that it never was going to be... That just wasn't in her DNA.

"Right... Like you weren't devastated to learn that you have to kiss a man." Juliette grimaced... Ah. That. Yes. She felt a little bad for probably physically recoiling from that part in the script because Jackson was a perfectly nice guy, she just really didn't want to have to kiss someone who wasn't Esme... She was partial to just kissing her girlfriend.

She was also partial to not kissing men - that was not something that had ever been on her bucket list. Even when she'd thought that she was straight the idea of kissing a man had never appealed to her, not really anyway.

"That was the lowest part of my day, true." Moving on from the dramatic statement that that was.... She also wanted to move on from the way that Becky was chuckling at her, because how was it fair to make light of that dark moment? "But I didn't hold up practice, I simply had my crisis inside my own mind... I would literally rather die over kissing Jackson." She said, feeling someone glowering at her.

She knew that her opinion on kissing Jackson was one in the minority, that plenty of girls were willing to take her place and she would happily let them, but that would mean changing Allison's casting, and she was pretty sure that that was just not something that was going to happen anytime soon.... She didn't seem like the type to like that.

Becky shrugged next to her, pulling her a little closer as they continued to walk, falling into perfect step with her.

"You're probably just gonna do a stage kiss... and if you don't it'll be quick." She reasoned. Juliette grimaced, shaking her head as she opened her mouth to say that she really didn't even want it to be quick, she just never wanted it to happen, when someone interrupted them.
