Juliette liked the atmosphere of The Broken Roses shows now that she was more used to what would happen, used to the noise and the people... It was more fun now, she knew how to calm herself down...
And she knew that she got to watch her incredibly sexy partner onstage... The partner that she had to wait until after the show to see since they hadn't ridden in together and she didn't want to distract them from getting ready for the show, that felt mean.
"Hey." Juliette looked up at Shelby with a raised eyebrow, unsure of what she was stopped in her tracks by. What could be so enthralling that she had to stop walking midway through their little walk to where they were going to stand... Carly and Becky were probably still on their way, and Juliette wanted to secure a spot closer to the front... Tegan had loaned her a pair of headphones so that she could stand closer to the front without getting really overstimulated, which she gratefully appreciated.
"What?" She asked, and Shelby jutted her chin towards the stage, looking annoyed by something... But what? What could she possibly be annoyed by right now?
"Looks like a groupie is trying to flirt with your girl." Shelby said, and Juliette squinted over to where Esme was leaning against the stage on the side, looking completely disinterested in what some girl had to say while they fiddled with the strings of their guitar.
The girl, on the other hand, was trying her absolute hardest to get Esme to look at her the way that Esme looked at Juliette. She set her jaw and shook her head, sighing heavily as she clenched her fists. Mine, motherfucker.
"Mmm..." Juliette shook her head with a sigh... So much for not distracting Esme before the show, huh? Now she really had to distract them. "Yeah, I don't like the look of that." She mumbled, and Shelby gave her an apprehensive look.
"What're you gonna do?" Juliette glanced up at her and shrugged. She wasn't gonna do anything that was too severe, she was simply going to make her position on the matter very... Clear.
The girl would know in no uncertain terms that Esme was completely and entirely off the market and not looking for anyone else, which Juliette knew that they knew... But she needed to make sure that this girl knew that as well, since she was apparently too daft to read Esme's body language... Which Juliette used to struggle with too, so she was throwing rocks from a glass house, but still.
"Oh, I'll handle it." She tied her hair out of her face with the ponytail holder around her wrist... She was probably gonna need that out of the way... Maybe, it was better to think ahead with what she could do to remind Esme of where they stood. "I can make my position on that very clear." She said, winking at Shelby, who chuckled, nudging her lightly.
"Damn... I look forward to seeing that." Shelby said, sounding impressed. Juliette nodded, clearing her throat as she gave Shelby a tight smile... She was gonna handle it in a way that would be... Entertaining... Even if it was just entertaining for her and Esme... Either way, someone was gonna have a good time, and that was all that mattered.
"As you should." She wouldn't really see it, but still. Juliette straightened up and started walking over, catching Tegan's eye as they waved. She waved back, but mostly focused in on Esme, who looked beautiful... Bored, but gorgeous. Hers.
"I'm very flexible, you know." She leaned forward, her arms folded behind her back as she smirked at Esme. Juliette grimaced and shook her head with a sigh... Not gonna work, but I admire the commitment. "I can fit my feet behind my head." She said, and Esme nodded slowly, looking unimpressed as they rested their chin on their hand.
