The windows break as shots fire from outside, I sit there next to the bed, on the floor holding my baby bump while Bucky was downstairs alone, fighting by himself
I grab my gun and run over to the counter for cover
"Bucky?!" I yell out for him
"Yn what are you doing?! Get back upstairs!" He yells back
"No, I'm fine! I need you alive and I know there's about 12 people outside"
He runs over to me, "are they good?" He asks
"They are fine" I put my hand over my stomach and look at him
A few more shots go off, breaking more windows
I hear 3 men break through the front door, I stand up just long enough to make them shoot themselves but get shot in the process
I fall to the ground in pain, knowing it was my stomach that got shot
Buckys face goes white, I immediately start yelling and swearing in pain
Bucky finds the wound and checks to see if it went all the way through, it did, but he finds the bullet just to make sure it's out
"Are you okay" he asks and looks into my eyes
"No" I kill everyone but Bucky with my powers only using my pain to fuel my power
He picks me up and runs me to the car, he speeds the whole way to the hospital and when we get there, he runs me into the ER
Bucky
A bunch of doctors run her into a room, one comes up to me, "we're gonna have to do an emergency C section, and you will need to fill out some paper work, you two can see your baby or babies when she wakes up" she hands me a bunch of papers
I call Tony immediately, he doesn't pick up until the third ring
"TONY!!!" I yell
"What?" He calmly says back
"People showed up at our house and started shooting and yn was hit and it was her stomach, we're in the emergency room now and theyre doing an emergency C section on her and I'm freaking the fuck out!!!"
"Okay calm down, what hospital?"
"The- the one down town" I stutter
"I'll be there in 2 minutes" he hangs up
I walk up to the front desk, "my- my wife just- just now went back a- and she was- she was shot and she's pregnant- " my mind runs a million miles a minute
"Sir calm down, your wife is in surgery, she'll be out in a few hours"
"I- I need more than that"
"Sir that's all we know right now"
"Please"
"We will keep you updated, any time anything happens, we will send a nurse out to talk to you"
"Is there any chance I could lose any of them"
"The babies but your wife will be fine"
Part of me is relieved but another is heartbroken on the thought of losing my children
I sit down, my hands shaking, my legs bouncing, my vision blurry, and my skin wet from sweating
Tony walks in frantically, "have they told you anything yet?" He asks
"Uh- n- no" my words as shaky as my hands
"Nothing?" He asks
"Yn will be fine but they don't know about the babies" I look at the floor trying not to freak out any more
A nurse starts walking towards us, I stand up, "we're so sorry sir, one of the babies didn't make it" my heart sinks
"B- but the other?" I shakily ask
She gestures to follow her so I do and she brings me to the room yn is sitting in with the baby, she's still asleep but the nurse hands me the baby
"A healthy baby girl" the nurse smiles and I hold our daughter in my arms
Her left eye is a beautiful yellow-brown, her right eye is a bright blue, her hair the same as yn's, and her smile just like yn's
I stand there, looking at her, speechless, she smiles at me and I smile back
"Hey" I say to her, she cuu's back at me
"We're almost done with her, but you may stay with your daughter in your wife's room until we bring her up" the nurse suggest I go stay in yn's room while I wait for her
Tony comes up to the room aswell, "wow Barnes" is all he says and walks closer
I hand her to Tony gently and watch her reach for his heart reactor
They bring yn in, still unconscious, her entire torso wrapped up
"She'll wake up in about 10 minutes" the nurse says before she walks out
"She looks a lot like her" Tony says and looks at yn, then the baby
Another nurse comes in and brings the birth certificate, "sign this and have her sign when she wakes please sir" she asked and left
I signed and put the paper on the table next to yn's bed
Like the doctor said, she woke up about 10 minutes later
"Hey, how ya feeling mama" I ask
She laughs but winces in pain, I grab the baby from Tony and give it to yn
Her eyes glow and I can see her heart melt as soon as she looks at our baby
"The other?" She asks
"At least you two are okay" she's sad but when she looks at the baby, she smiles again
"I was gonna let you sign her name" I say and show her the paper
She signs it and signs 'Sadie Barnes' under the name bit
The doctor comes in, "good morning mama, how are you?" She puts gloves on
"Better than earlier" she says
"I'm gonna have to ask one of you to leave and the father stay" she says
Tony leaves and the doctor takes the baby, "with all new parents, we're have to show how to breast feed so I'm gonna ask you to undo the top of your gown" the doctor says
Yn takes it off and the doctor hands the baby back to yn
The baby immediately finds its way to yn's nipple and starts sucking
"Oh look at that she did it on her own" the doctor adjusts Sadie's position so her neck is straight
The doctor takes the paperwork from me and leaves us alone in the room
"We did it" she smiles
"You did it" I correct her
"Do you think she'll be like me?" Yn asks
"I hope so"
"If she has abilities, how will we control her"
"You have them too"
Yn looks down at Sadie and smiles, "I failed your brother, but I won't fail you" she whispers to the baby, still nursing
"You didn't fail him"
"I did"
"You-" she cuts me off
"Will you go home and make it just hers please" she looks in my eyes
"Yeah, I'll come back after, or Tony could drive you home if you want"
"Tony can drive me, just please do that"
