Chapter 50

I got up at around 8 to get ready for my therapy session
No one was awake yet so I was roaming the house alone
I showered and made some breakfast burritos, then left another note
"At therapy, but I made breakfast burritos on the stove - love mom" is what the note read
I wrapped the burritos in foil, grabbed my purse and keys, and got in my car
I took a deep breath and reached for my phone to call Anya
The phone rang twice then she picked up, "hey, what's up?" She asks
"Is the wall done?" I ask, panicking slightly
"Yes, they finished it about an hour ago, I was gonna call you when your plane was ready" I can tell she smiled when she said that
"Good, call me when that's ready too" I hang up, sensing the conversation is over on my part
I drive off, not knowing how far I'll get but I go regardless
I see the police round the corner and I pull into a parking spot so I can break off my bracelets
I bash them against each other as hard as I can, sending screws flying
My wrists are bloody, but I got them off, I step into the street in front of them and lift my hands, surrendering
An entire swat team got out of the cars, handcuffed my wrists and ankles, put a collar on me, and put me in a seat I couldn't get out off with the collar
They strapped me down, covered my mouth, and made it so the only thing I could do was breath, I couldn't move, speak, see
They drove me to the airport, then to the raft where they imprisoned me
The avengers did it, well the first part, they got me here, now they have to kill me
"I knew you could do it" I stare at the floor, "I'm not untouchable" I laugh
"How did you know I was here?" Nat says and walks to the glass
"I know your entire plan" I smile and lean on the glass
"Why would you go along with it?" My eyes get teary
"It needs to be done and either way I would've ended up here" I realize it's actually happening
"You're doing this and you know the outcome" that makes me smile
"My death will haunt all of you, the guilt that you'll feel, she shame, the hurt, it's all on you" my smile stretches across my face
"We're not doing anything wrong, you killed thousands and you could kill trillions" she crosses her arms
"You're breaking apart my family, taking my kids mother away, buckys wife, Tony starks only sister and one of two living relatives, you're killing the queen slokovia, you're murdering me Natasha" I smile at her
"You could break the multiverse" her arms drop with her face
"Well then, what are you waiting for" I put my arms up like I'm urging her to take a hit
She looks at me like I'm planning something, but I'm not
Thor, Carol, Wanda, Sadie, Sage, Bucky, Clint, and dr strange walk in
"This will be easy for you" I laugh
   The cells buzz as the lights flicker off, it's dark enough they can't see me, so I sneak out and into a helicopter
   The collar came off when the lights and power went off
   The lights flickered back on as I start the helicopter
   "Oh fuck" I try to fly it up but Wanda keeps it down with her powers as everyone else runs to me
   The helicopter was high enough up that I could jump on the roof
   I realized I didn't know where I was and the water was dangerously aggressive
   They follow me up, "there's no where to go, just give up" Nat's hair blows around with the wind
   "Yeah I've come to that conclusion" my dark brown hair whips in the wind
   I ball bright yellow energy in my fists as Carol steps closer
   "Fuck it" I decide to give them a fight, I strike thunder in the water, illuminating everyone's face
   Natasha comes to me first, she shoots an electric disc at me, it got my knees to the ground, allowing her to bring my shoulders to the ground and hold a gun to my head
   "Do you still think that will work?" I ask before I turn the gun inside out with my powers
   Nat drops the gun and backs up, but Bucky walks up
   He trains his gun at me, "I know this won't kill you but it will hurt" I see as Wanda usher the girls off the roof
   I look at him with helplessness in my eyes, hoping he'd show me mercy
   He drops the gun and helps me up, "I love you with everything in me" he whispers then kisses me
   "I love you too" I whisper into the kiss and close my eyes so I can't see everyone find their places around me
   I open my eyes and Bucky backs up to a place in the circle
   I smile softly at him as tears fall down my cheeks
   "I did truly care about all of you, you were my family and took me in when I was on my own, nat you were like my sister, Steve was like my brother, Tony was my brother, I taught Wanda all I know, I had 2 children with the man I'll never leave" I smile at everyone around me, "tell Sam, my country will always be a shelter for him"
   Nat and Bucky point their guns at me, Clint points his bow at me, and the rest of them raise their hands
   I look at Wanda and see her in tears, she's gonna do it
   "I love you ~" is the last thing I say to Bucky before everyone unleashes their power, channeling it into me
   A bright yellow explosion bursts into the air, sending everyone backwards about 5 feet
   It was brighter than the sun, blinding all of us and it was hot, but not as hot as the sun
   My body felt drained as I fell down the side of the building, falling into the aggressive water
   I struggled to find the surface, but I did and swam to the wall of the building
   I hung onto the ledge with all I could and hung on, trying not to let anyone see me
   "Ah- ow, fuck" I silently swore at myself from the pain, I got shot with an arrow and 2 bullets
   I tried to fly up but I couldn't, my powers weren't working
   I felt around my pockets for my phone and found it, it was soaking wet but still worked
   ... until I tried to call someone
It shut off completely and slide it back in my pocket and start to climb up
I survived
