Chapter 43

Bucky

   The curtains let in an orange glow from the rising sun
   A stripe of orange shined across our bed, on our white covers
   A small slit of orange shined on yn's face, perfectly lighting up her long black lashes
   She slept so peacefully, different from usual, having nightmares every other night
   Her lips were a beautiful rosy color, matching her warm pink cheeks
   Her hair was draped over her hand and pillow, the orange glow perfectly illuminating the shiny streaks of white spread throughout her hair
   Her breathing was soft, every time she exhaled, a small lock of her hair moved off her hand, but moved back when she inhaled
The blanket only went up to the bottom of her back and there was a stripe of sun shining across her body
Her eyelids softly fluttered as she woke up, her fingers moved slightly aswell
Her eyes opened, facing the stripe of the beautiful orange sun
She moved her curly autumn hair out of her face as she sat up
Her eyes looked like they lit up in the golden light
"Good morning buck", she kisses my cheek and walks to the dresser to grab clothes
She slides on a maroon sports bra, cute matching yoga pants, and some black socks
"What are you doing?" I ask as she starts tying her tennis shoes
"I'm going on a run with Zoey and the girls" she says and grabs her phone
"When did you plan this" I ask, not knowing the girls agreed to get out of the house
"I didn't" she smiles and walks out the door, I throw some sweat pants on and follow her
Yn knocks on Sadie's door and walks in and flips the lights on
"Uhhhh" Sadie rolls her eyes and covers her eyes with her blanket
Yn gets out a shirt and leggings out for Sadie, places them on her nightstand and pulls the blanket off of Sadie
"Moooommmmm" she groans and rolls over to face the wall
"We're gonna go on a run now get up and get ready" yn rolls her back over and kisses her forehead
Sadie gets up knowing yn won't leave until she does
Yn walks out, closes her door so she can get dressed, then walks to sages room
Yn flips the lights on, but sage doesn't wake up, so yn walks to the side of her bed
She kisses sages cheeks and forehead like she's smothering her with kisses
"Mooommmmm" she laughs and swats yn's gave away from her own
Yn does the same and grabs a shirt and leggings for sage and sets it on her nightstand
"Get ready, we're going on a run" yn kisses her forehead again
"I'm good" Sage pulls the blanket over her face and rolls over
Yn takes the blanket off of sage, "that wasn't a question"
"I don't wanna" sage groans before yn throws a pillow at her
Sage stands up and yn leaves, closing the door on her way out
"Would you like to come?" Yn asks
"I'm good, I'll just stay with Zoey" I say and start grabbing things from the fridge for breakfast
"We'll just do a quick 30 minute run there and back" she sits on the counter
Sadie walks down the hall and sits on the couch to put her shoes on
Sage walks out, not much longer, and also sit on the couch to put her shoes on
"Are you two ready?" Yn and hands them each an apple
"Yeah" the girls both scoff and start eating apples
The three of them walk out and I walk over to feed Zoey
   I start scrambling eggs and mixing it with cheese, then pour them into the pan, then I let them cook for awhile
   I turn on a movie but don't pay much attention to it
   Zoey eats some of her food, then lays next to me on the couch while I eat my breakfast
   I remember the day yn got Zoey, we had just escaped and she wanted to blend in more
   She trained her and played with her every day, and got her, her signature collar
   Zoey has always had a purple collar with a name tag and silver spikes
   She saved yn multiple times, she's fought other people, dragged her out of a room or body of water
   Zoey was a nice dog, unless yn commanded her otherwise
   It was actually pretty cool how yn could say any command to Zoey and she would do it, always with a reward of food or cuddling

* flashback *

   "Zoey attack!" Yn yells from across the room as she gets stabbed in the rib by the man that tackled her not long before
   The man twists the knife as Zoey gets to him and bites him in the neck, killing him instantly
   Yn leaves the knife, so she doesn't bleed out and  gives Zoey a kiss on the head
   Yn walks over to unlocks my cuffs, and holds her hand out to help me up
   I stand up and pet zoey a little before we walk out and finish the mission
   Yn put Zoey on a leash but Zoey growled at everyone we passed, making sure not to let yn get hurt again
   That dog would do anything for yn, they had a bond stronger than mine with her or even Tony's, they would walk through hell for each other
   We got back and Yn immediately gave Zoey a bath to was off the blood
After zoeys bath, yn dried her with a towel and threw her collar, along with mine and her clothes in the washer
Yn walked around in her panties and bra until she got cold and went upstairs to grab clothes
She must not have noticed the shirt she put on was mine, but she looked good in it so I didn't want to say anything
The murderous haze had disappeared from her expression, I usually try not to talk to her until she's calm down
"You okay?" I ask, noticing the knife that was in her side, was pulled out
"Yea, but can you help me wrap it?" She asks and hands me some gauze to dry it a little bit
I clean it, dry it as best I can, and wrap her ribs up so the gauze stays
