The baby started crying again, I reached over to Bucky to wake him up
"Please go" I ask
He walks out and I hear her keep crying, so I walk out to her room
"She's probably hungry, I'm sorry I woke you up" I apologize to Bucky and take Sadie from him
"It's fine, if you pump some, I'll get her if she wakes up again" he goes back to bed
I start feeding her and sit in the rocking chair in the corner of her room
I fall asleep with her nursing and in my arms
Bucky comes in and wakes me up, "hey, you never came back to bed" he says
"Sorry" I carefully put Sadie back in her bed and walk back with Bucky
We lay down and I snuggle into his chest and sob lightly
"Hey, hey, hey, what's wrong?" Bucky asks and moved my chin so I have to look at him
"It's really hard, harder than I thought and I can't do it" tears stream down my face
"You can do it, you can do anything, whenever I think you can't do something, you do it and go the extra mile too" he tries to make me feel better
"Bucky I can't" I say and look him in the eyes
"You can, what if we ask everyone else to help? Maybe take a few days to sleep" he suggests
"We can do that?" I smile
"Yeah" he kisses my forehead, "get some sleep" he gets comfy
We both fall asleep and I fall asleep hard, no movement Bucky made, no alarm that went off, nothing could wake me up... except Sadie
She started crying again and without saying anything, Bucky went to go take care of it
He did, she went back to bed and stopped crying
Bucky came back and tried his hardest not to move the bed and wake me up but I was already awake
The next day I woke up and Bucky wasn't next to me, I fell into a panic, I ran over to Sadie's room and she wasn't in her crib, I creeped downstairs and saw Bucky cooking with sadie in her food chair on the counter
They were listening to music so Bucky was dancing and moving Sadie's hands in a dance movement, making her smile and laugh
I watched from the stairs for a moment, admiring my 2 favorite people in the world
I walked over to them, Bucky first, "you're very awake" I laugh and we fall into a kiss
"How did you sleep?" He asks and dances with me
"Good after midnight" I smile and dance with him
"She said she was so sorry, she wouldn't stop talking about it this morning" he joked
"Oh is she" I detach from him and pull Sadie out of her chair
"Are you so sorry darling" I ask and tickle her, making her laugh
I hold Sadie in one hand and buckys hand in my order and the three of us dance
I smile at Bucky, who smiles right back, "you were high on whatever they used to knock you out but the doctor scheduled an appointment for 2 months after her birth and that is today, it's at 2, we have 3 hours to ask anyone to give us 3 days off" he impresses me by how well he scheduled everything
He turns around and fixes me a plate with bacon, potatoes, eggs, and toast on it and takes Sadie from me to put her back in her chair
The food was delicious, it had been awhile since he cooked breakfast
We get ready to go and I pack the diaper bag while Bucky puts her in her car seat
We left and drove to the compound first, I carried Sadie in and Wanda ran up to me to see her
"Oh my her eyes are beautiful, it's like a mix of you two" Wanda carefully takes Sadie and plays with her
Steve walks over to me, "congratulations, she looks beautiful" he also feels bad for me because of the other baby
Nat does the same, she hugs me, says "congratulations she looks just like you" but also- she's glad the other one died
I look further and see that she knew I would struggle with one and worried if I had two
I smile at them both, "thank you", they walk over to look at Sadie, which is still in Wanda's arms
"Actually um why we're here is because this 2 months has been real long because of the sleep deprivation and I was gonna ask if anyone would like to watch her for like a week or so" I ask
Wanda's face lights up, "I would love to!" Sadie even smiles at her
I walk over to Wanda, "I can pump a bunch of milk and you can heat it up if she needs and you can call us if you need anything and-" Bucky stops me from freaking out too much
I take a breath and think, "you know what to do" I tell Wanda
"When do you want me to take her?" She asks
"Tomorrow, we can-" she interrupts
"I'll still stop by" she says
I check the time and see it's 1 pm, "we gotta get going, thank you guys!" I yell and walk out the door with Bucky, together we drive to the doctor
Sadie gets some vaccines and a checkup then we get sent on our way
"I told you Wanda would" I laugh
Bucky laughs too and drives home, we fixed the windows and door the day of, Tony stopped by and did it
Sadie started crying in the car, Bucky lets me use my powers on her when she's in the car, so I do and she falls asleep
We get home and put her down for bed carefully, then I get out my weed, then Bucky and I go on the back porch, close enough to the door so we can hear her if she wakes up
We smoke the joint together then walk up to bed, Bucky woke up all night with sadie because I didn't wake up once
