Amber's POV:
"Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies." - Aristotle
Amber woke up early. Today was her wedding day. As she sat up in bed, stretching, her feet touched the cool floor, and a soft smile spread across her lips. I'm marrying the love of my life today.
Reflecting on last night, the laughter, the champagne, the pure joy she felt, a deep sense of peace washed over her. Everything felt right. Today would go smoothly—it had to.
Her thoughts flickered briefly to Gabriella. She has no idea what she's walking into today... But Amber shook it off. It's my day. I have to relax.
She had dreamed of this moment since she was a little girl—her fairytale wedding.
Descending the grand staircase, she took in the morning sun pouring through the tall windows. It was a beautiful day.
The scent of coffee and fresh pastries filled the air as she walked into the kitchen. Her head was pounding from all the champagne, but nothing would ruin today.
"Good morning, Miss Sterling. What shall I prepare for you?" her chef asked.
Amber smiled. "Surprise me."
Sitting at the long dining table, she let herself drift into thoughts of Andy. Her heart swelled. This is it. The beginning of forever.
"Good morning, my beautiful daughter."
Amber looked up to see her mother walking in, smiling warmly.
"I can see you're happy."
"I am, Mom. I'm so excited."
Her mother leaned down and kissed her forehead. "I need to make sure everything is perfect for your wedding. I love you so much, sweetheart."
"I love you too, Mom."
As Amber finished breakfast, she made her way down the hallway, ready to wake up Ashley.
"Ain't no way she's still sleeping after all that champagne she made me drink last night."
She raised a fist to knock, but before she could—
"Looking for me?"
Ashley stepped out of her room, already awake, grinning.
"Yes, as a matter of fact, I was. Have you seen Ariel? Is she okay?"
"She's getting ready to head back home."
"Okay, hold that thought. I'll be right back."
"By the way," Ashley called after her, "hair and makeup start at noon!"
Amber made her way down the hall, knocking on Ariel's door.
"Come in," Ariel's voice called.
Amber pushed the door open, finding Ariel brushing out her hair.
"Hey," Amber said softly.
"Hey."
"How are you?"
Ariel smiled. "I'm good. A little nervous. But I'm also the happiest girl in the world."
"Was it like this for you?"
Ariel let out a soft laugh. "My wedding was a complete surprise. I didn't even know Aiden had gone ahead with my family to plan the whole thing. I just showed up, and—bam—wedding."
Amber's eyes widened. "Wait... Aiden's romantic?"
Ariel smirked. "Oh, he is. You just don't see it often."
