Fear your poly-hearth

I cannot love you as you are,
For you've been polygamous by far, And though my heart may feel a spark,
I fear the fire will leave a mark.

Y

our habits strong, your love unbound,
To many hearts, your love was found, And though you may have changed your ways,
The past still haunts me, in many ways.

I cannot handle the thought,
Of sharing you with another lot,
My love is selfish, it's true,
For I cannot bear to share with few.

So I must walk away, my love,
For my heart cannot rise above,
The fear that you will once again,
Be tempted by the love of many men.

I hope one day you find the one,
Who can accept all that you've done, And love you for the person true,
That lies within the heart of you.
