Extraordinary Desires: Hilariously Ordinary

To be extraordinary, oh what a dream,

The most common wish, or so it would seem.

We all think we're special, the best of the bunch,

But really, we're just egocentric in a hunch.

From birth, we're told we're unique and divine,

That we're destined for greatness, and everything's fine.

But as we grow older, we start to see,

That maybe, just maybe, we're not all that we thought we'd be.

Still, we strive for the top, to be number one,

To outdo our peers, and have all the fun.

We want to be remembered, to leave our mark,

To be extraordinary, and light up the dark.

But let's face it, we're all just ordinary folk,

Trying to find our way, and not be a joke.

So embrace your flaws, and don't take life too seriously,

For thinking you're extraordinary is really quite deliriously hilarious, quite mysteriously!
