Ignore Hateful Opinions

In the shadows of social life

Lurks a darkness, filled with strife

Where hate and anger reign supreme

And nothing is quite as it seems

People revel in their inner pain

Projecting it out with disdain

Their words are like knives, sharp and cold

Cutting deep into the soul

But do not fret, my dear friend

For their hate will come to an end

Their inner demons will soon be revealed

And their cruel words will no longer wield

So do not worry about their opinion

For it is only a reflection

Of the pain and hurt they carry within

A battle they are yet to win

Focus instead on your own light

And let it shine, oh so bright

For in the end, love will always prevail

And their hate will simply pale.
