Embracing Our Reliance

We often think we're on our own, Independent, standing tall,
But truth be told, we're not alone,
We need others, one and all.

Each being in this world we share,
Is interdependent, it's true,
We rely on others, everywhere,
For sustenance, for life anew.

Acknowledging this truth we find,
A newfound respect for others,
Not denying our dependence kind, But selflessness that truly bothers.

For if we deny our need for aid,
We become selfish, foolish, blind, Irresponsible in how we've strayed, From the truth that binds mankind.

So let us embrace our reliance,
On the world we share with grace, With humility and without defiance, Let us honor our rightful place
