WARNING: This chapter includes graphic description of Tinkerbell's erm ... situation. It doesn't last long, and it's literally at the start of the chapter. So, if it is too much for you, please skip over it.
"Are we going to ignore the fact that there's a severed Tinkerbell on the ground right now?" Sam mused, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly as Metanoia and Denzel hugged. "Not that I'm complaining though, the bitch needed to die."
"Amen, brother." Elijah nodded meekly, his eyes disturbingly watching Tinkerbell's lifeless eyes gazing into nothingness, her mouth held ajar creepily, blood pooling around her and underneath her.
"It was still rather grotesque of an act." Nate voiced his disapproval, gaining a wary glance from Theodore, who subtly shook his head to warn him to not utter a word, but Nate was, quite frankly, tired, bruised and exasperated.
"You can't just go around killing people because it suits you best, Metanoia." Nate barked hostilely, causing the girl to break away from Denzel and gazing at Nate expressionlessly.
"Nate." Theodore pleaded gently, but Nate disregarded him.
"I tried - no, we have tried so bloody hard to keep you as innocent as you were when you first set foot into Neverland." Nate seethed. "Why in God's good name do you have to traipse around ending people's lives?"
When Metanoia simply blinked at him, utterly unbothered by his outburst, and retracting her arms entirely from Denzel, who was gazing at their finest warrior uncomfortably, Nate snarled, "Why, damn it?!"
"Because she had a lesson to be taught." Metanoia replied calmly, merely raising her brows at him as Peter slowly stood up, gazing at the two of them curiously.
"Tinkerbell sure has meddled with more than one thing, living up to her name's meaning. But I am living up to mine as well." Metanoia stated factually, earning a few perplexed looks, before she sighed tiredly and clarified, "Metanoia is a change of one's way of life - almost like repenting. As keeper of my name, I am to cleanse this place of any horrid person."
"That's not what it fucking means, you manipulative wench." Nate hissed, and the boys gasped.
"Nate! Shut the hell up, mate." Elijah demanded incredulously, but he was too late.
Peter's eyes darkened, and he whooshed Nate to the side, toppling him to the ground effortlessly using wind magic, and earning a pleased smirk by Metanoia.
"Never speak of her that way again. Not if you wish to keep your tongue." Peter threatened easily, staring down at Nate, who defeatedly glared up at his King.
"Metanoia is free to do as she pleases. And frankly, she put none of you in harm's way by killing Tinkerbell." Peter drawled. "As Sam stated, the bitch needed to die."
Sam was momentarily astounded to be referenced, but he immediately fluttered his gaze down to his shoes a second later, not particularly in the mood to make eye contact with his lunatic leader.
"Denzel, David." Peter snapped, causing their stances to go rigid at being addressed with harshness. "Throw her body in the Echo Caves. The echo demons can feast on her."
Denzel and David wordlessly ambled towards Tinkerbell, and mutely lifted her off the ground, retreating to the Echo Caves while everyone watched.
"The rest of you can go imprison the fairies in the treehouse I enchanted at camp." Pan commanded, and one by one, each Lost Boy left the battlefield carrying a sack of unconscious fairies, still under Metanoia's sleeping curse she cast on them.
