Phiwokuhle's POV
Flashback
"You will pay for lying about me." he says and walks away. I shouldn't have said anything cause look where that put me. I quickly wipe the dishes and run to my bedroom and lock the door and cry. I guess it's another night of crying myself to sleep. I hate that Phiwokwakhe told him now I have to sleep with one eye open cause I don't know when he will strike again.
End of flashback.
I wake up and do my morning routine and wear my uniform. I tie my hair into a low sleek bun and lay my edges. I pack my books and go downstairs. I don't want to sit down and have breakfast with them so I quickly pack my lunchbox and take an apple and leave. I don't think I will be able to pretend as if we are happy and i don't want to snap and spill the beans about what happened to my dad.
"Phiwokuhle wait.." says Phiwokwakhe. Ugghh what does he want? "What Phiwokwakhe I'm running late." I say. "Aren't you hungry?" "As you can see I opted for an apple so that means no." "Yoh no need for you to be rude I just wanted to know if you hungry or not." "I'm not so leave me alone." "What's wrong?" "I said leave me alone!" I click my tongue and walk away.
I walk to the rank and get inside the taxi. The taxi takes a while to fill up and I couldn't be more annoyed. Why are people taking their own sweet time? They not the only ones that are working some of us have school. Another student gets in and sits next to me. I don't know which school this one goes to but I've seen a few of the students from the same school near mines.
"Dumelang." she greets. (Hello.) I'm gonna pretend like I didn't hear that. I look out the window and i feel her tapping my shoulder. I groan, what does she want. "Mmm." "Are you okay?" "Yes I'm fine now leave me alone." "I'm sorry if I overstepped some boundaries." "You did overstep a lot so please leave me alone. I don't wanna sound rude."
She keeps quiet and i sigh. Good peace and quiet what i want and need. I switch on my airpods and connect them to the bluetooth. I shuffle my playlist and the song Dear Mama by Tupac starts playing. The taxi eventually fills up and the driver comes and drives off. I feel her tap my shoulder again. What is it with this child and annoying me? I pause my music.
"What?" I whisper yell. "Imali." she says. (Money.) "Oh." I take out my money and give it to her. "You know you shouldn't bottle up your feelings cause it makes you snappy." "Oh and you talking from experience." "Yes I am. I know something is going on with you hence I'm not going to call you out on your rude behaviour."
"Good study skills you should become a therapist." I say and she chuckles. "It's not my first time hearing that." I roll my eyes. Who cares but i keep that to myself. "Why you still talking to me even though I'm rude." "Because I'm bored and honestly you seem like a fun person when you not being bitchy." I chuckle. "Good character analyzation." She smiles and it reveals her cute dimples.
She is a beautiful girl that's for sure but that's not the point i want her to leave me alone. "What's your name?" she asks. "Phiwokuhle." I answer. "You not going to ask me mines?" "I never wanted to know." "Ouch..my name is Omphemetse." "Nice name." "So now you interested?" "You told me." She chuckles. "You one weird person." "I know that."
