Phiwokuhle's POV

It's the day of the MD and I'm feeling slightly nervous. I'm happy that I get to turn up with my friends but the other part is nervous about being in a crowd. I just hope that nothing bad happens today because I'm honestly not in the mood to be dealing with drama. "Its your MD babes." says Mandisa.

"Oh wow I wasn't aware of it until you told me now." I say and she rolls her eyes which causes me to chuckle. "Ngiyadlala ke nawe I know it's my MD and I'm nervous." (I'm playing with you.) "Why would you be nervous about having fun?" she asks. "I don't want anything bad to happen while I'm having fun." "Nothing won't happen."

"If you say so." I say. She comes next to me and takes off my bonnet. "I love how they installed this weave. Like they did a good job." she says. "I know hey. At least we can come with our weaves at school." "Girl you gon slay with your uniform." I chuckle. "I always slay with that uniform." "I know you do justice to it." We chuckle.

"Don't worry everything will be fine. Don't overthink these things just go there and have fun cause it's a once in a lifetime opportunity. You will never be 18 years old or be in matric again so you can experience this. Let loose and have fun every thing will be okay. Just trust that you will come back safe and sound." she says. "I will." I mumble.

She pulls me in for a hug and i chuckle. I love having a sister yes sometimes I may find my siblings annoying but I love them during moments like these and I'm grateful for having them in my life. "I love you." I say. "I love you too big sis more than anything." she says and i smile. We break from the hug and she wipes away some of her tears.

"Why are you crying?" I ask. "You know me I'm an emotional person so things like this will tear me up." she answers. "Don't cry I'm okay." "I'm sorry for crying I know sometimes I annoy you with these things but it's just me trying to make sure you are okay. You my only sister and i don't want to lose you." "Yeah you do annoy me sometimes but don't apologise for crying. It's human to cry and you should never feel bad."

"Why don't you apply this to yourself?" she asks. "My case is different from yours." I answer. "It doesn't make sense but let's not get into depth about it because I know we will debate for the whole day about this and you will win eventually which i don't like." I chuckle. "I aim to win all the time so don't be surprised." She chuckles and rolls her eyes.

She puts my bonnet on and fixes it up a bit. "Let's go eat I'm really hungry." she says and grabs my arm forcing me to stand up. I wear my slippers and we walk to the kitchen. "What should we make?" "I don't know why you asking me." I answer. "Because you are here with me now aren't you." I roll my eyes. "Kellogs." "Hai wena we must go all out." "English breakfast." "English breakfast it is then."

We take out the pan and ingredients and start making breakfast for everyone. Once we are done we set up the dining table and i walk to their rooms to wake them up. We walk back to the dining room and we sit down and start eating. "I can't believe you managed to force Phiwo to cook. What did you threaten her with?" asks Musa. "I just told her to help me since she's the only one awake." answers Mandisa.

"You don't have any secret that she threatened you with?" asks Phiwokwakhe. "You know i wouldn't admit to it if I actually had one." I answer and they chuckle. "Nilale kanjani?" asks mom. (How did you sleep?) "Silale kahle wena ma." answers Mandisa. (We slept well and you.) "I also slept good. I'm so excited for your matric dance." "We are too. Like the one night where we can drink like there is no tomorrow." says Phiwokwakhe.
