Phiwokuhle's POV
A month later..."How long will it take or what will it take for us to get back together? Its been over a month now and i think I've tried my best to prove to you that I'm sorry and that I have changed." says Ayesha and i chuckle. "I'll give you your answer tomorrow." I say and she sighs. "The wait better be worth it." I roll my eyes. "Good things come to those that wait." "I've been waiting."
The bell rings and i stand up. I place my bag on my back and we start walking back to class. We line up outside the classroom and we continue talking while waiting for the teacher to arrive. "How are you?" she asks. "I'm fine. You should have asked me that first before you asked me when we getting back together though." I say and she chuckles. "I'm sorry. I just miss you and i want us to be together. I miss your lips on mine."
My lips curve into a smile and i kiss her cheek. "I said on my lips not cheek." she says and i chuckle. "This should last you until my answer tomorrow." I say. "I'm so going to get back at you for this torture that you putting me through." "Whatever Ayesha. You not dead though." The teacher comes and we enter the class and go to our desks.
We greet her and sit down. "Okay guys we finishing off our PowerPoint presentation. The next time i see you, you will be presenting in front the class and remember this is for marks." she says and i hear a few groans from around the class and i giggle. Nothing more boring then having to present in front of the class so i feel them on that one.
"Are you done with your PowerPoint." asks Kwenzo. "Yeah I'm just left with a few things to wrap it up wena." I ask. "I'm almost done. Thinking of ghosting when it's time to present." "And then you see a red circle next to the subject." "But presenting in front of the class is not nice." "I know but we do what we gotta do to get marks. Life science is important." He sighs and i giggle.
Ayesha looks at me and i maintain the eye contact. She always does this whenever we in class together. She tries to get me to melt and it works everytime and i don't know why I'm trying to compete with her cause she always wins. It's been very hard resisting her. You asking why don't I get back with her since its hard to resist.
I want her back but then I'm being held back by my issues at home. My dad has gone back to his old ways, I can't say I'm surprised about that because vele I was counting down the days on when it's going to happen. My younger siblings are taking it hard because they thought that he was changing. I'm trying to be there for them as much as I can and i don't know why but my mother is not the same.
She isn't the way she used to be and i think the abuse is taking a toll on her. She is always locked up in her room and we don't see her as much anymore. Unfortunately me and Phiwokwakhe have taken a role on parenting and trying to make sure my siblings are okay and that they don't reveal at school that something is happening at home.
"Phiwo.." she says. "Mmm." "This is your first time starring at me without folding." I wish I can tell her I zoned out but I don't. "I knew at some point i will win." She chuckles. "You okay? You seem like you far in thought." "No I'm okay." She nods and i continue with the presentation for life science.

"Sisi." says Mandisa while peaking her head through the door. "Woza mtakama." I say and she enters. (Come in.) She walks to wear I'm sitting and plops herself on me. "Your butt muscles are really pointy." She laughs and rolls her eyes. "What's wrong?" "Nothing I just missed you." "Ncoo I missed you too." She giggles. I lower her a bit and lay her head on my shoulder.
